well i haven't actually got any luxury knitting yet

so far all my dpn knitting has been done on bamboo skewers.

this is all to change.

I use a nail file on my gold ones to rough 'em up. And unlike nail filings you can sell the gold filings [I beleive this was the practice in ancient egypt]

after you've splashed out for two sets of addi bamboo circulars in multiple sizes plus dpns in matching sizes, just so you can knit a baby cardigan top down you are slightly worried about going for "luxury"!

addis i do kind of like, they are the only ones where the join doesn't drag at all. they are just a bit too slippery. i knit slightly on the loose side (this is a a rxn against my mother, the world's tightest knitter)

Oh, yes, the slippery thing would be worse with DPNs, good point, I will stick to wood. I've just got on very well with my Addi turbos, they are nothing like normal (cheap) metal needles.
