here

It is the first of two pages about DD's baptism.

I did use some idea from a booklet I had, but adapted it to fit my 2 (was originally for 1) photos, and my bits and pieces. I need to practise my handwriting, but didn't really now how to print onto the little tags I had. As not too much writing I hope it doesn't matter too much.

Main thing is I really enjoyed doing it. Was greatto do and can't believe I have just whiled away a good 1.5-2 hours on one page, completely switched off from the rest of the world.

It's really really nice and your little girl will love it when she is older. Wish my mum had made something like that for me to look back on.

Thanks. It took a while. I was so scared it would go horribly wrong, or that I had put the photos the wrong way. LOL. Kept having to stop and check. I am sure it won't always take me this many hours per page!!!

Oh, the blank page in the mini book is because there is one more photo to add. I want to add one of DD's other great grandma, but not got a photo yet. Hoping my parents have one somewhere!

I have done it! I went for the accordian style and kept the mini book very simple in design, but using edges/frames of apers that matched both this and the other (Our Girl) page. I have then stuc it to the main page and tied it closed with the same fibre used on the Our Girl page. Struggled over what else to put on main page layout. Was looking at more photos, but figured that was the whole point of the book! So just went for some simple embelishment things I had.

Not perfect, but still only just trying everything out. Only my third day of scrapbooking, so learning and getting there very gradually. Most importantly though, having great fun

ooops crossed posts. hulababy, you dont have to stick it directly to the page.

champs · 17/02/2006 19:44

if you cut 12x12 paper/card into three "strips,

and fold each strip into three's as tho you were making a fan, take fan 1 and stick the third square onto the first square of fan 2 and stick the third square of fan 2 onto first square of fan 3

OK, so trying to picture this with a sheet of A4 to help me! LOL.

I cut the paper into three equal bits. I then take each of those and fold them into 3 equal bits - accordian style. I then stick the back of one strip onto my page. I stick the next folded strip onto the last (top) square of the original sheet and so on. I could then stick a ribbon or fibre under that very first square on the page, long enough so it ties on top of the whole thing? Yes? Is that right?

hiya!! just make it out of co-ordinating card, you can fold it back onitself accordian style, or fold it into a book, or even make a tag book.

you can make it as big or small as you like, if you use 12x12 paper/cardstock, cut it into thirds, then fold it into three's,open up. then stick last square to the next strip and then again with the last strip. you can attach ribbon to close it together.

Sounds interesting - care to explain!

Do I make like a mini album and then attach it in someway to the page? Or do I buy the mini album?

I am liking this idea...as we have a big family!!! This way I don't have to leave anyone out and risk upsetting them.

how about doing a mini book or an accordian book and adding it to the page that way you can add lots of pics to the page.

Ah, thank you

I am still struggling with managing to fit the pictures on the matching page. I have done the basis for the page. just need to decide on which photos to use - or rather which bits of each photo - and how to fit them on!
