Am wondering wether to make relatives birthday and xmas cards to save some money as I always spend a fortune on their xmas cards which is silly cos i can't afford it but love to get them nice cards.

I know there is an inital outlay of stuff i'd need but then in the long run does it work out cheaper ??

After the initial outlay, yeah, I'd say it's much cheaper.

I keep it simple as well. I rely on rubber stamps a lot for greetings and get them cheaply on Ebay.

I also like to personlise them w/photos and printed messages inside.

I would say its cheaper.
Shop around and you can get some nice cards stock, a couple of stamps and away you go.
