Welcome to the newest thread of support for those ladies who are pregnant or trying to conceive after terminating for abnormalities (tmfr). Since this thread first began (almost ten years ago!) there have been stories of heart break, sadness and fear, but from these stories there have also been stories of happiness, success and most importantly, hope.

Oh I’m really, really sorry to hear that. I hope you’re getting the rest and treatment you need and are able to look after yourself. It’s so unfair it really is and I’m so sorry this is happening to you.

Not really any news here. I’m too scared to go for a scan so I’m just hoping for the best.

They thought it was a molar pregnancy at first so went back a week later and there was a yolk sac and no evidence anymore that it was molar so they told me to return 2 weeks later for another scan which was yesterday. I'd been spotting since Monday but it turned bright red on Thursday night. I pretty much knew so not much point going in as my appointment was at 10am. They've given me dihydrocodeine for the pain and a 2 week sick note. Was supposed to do a 10 hour shift today but in far too much discomfort and I'm bleeding heavily. At least it wasn't on Xmas Eve this time like in 2020. Oh and I'm mightily relieved it wasn't molar like they convinced me it was at first. I do wish you the best though.

Hey @Balajake how are you getting on? Did you get an early scan?

Unfortunately not good. Started to spot on Monday which got heavier and more painful last night. Scan at epu today shows a miscarriage that is apparently resolving. I'm just not sure what do so from here tbh. Should be nearly 10 weeks but yet again it's not to be.

I hope you are ok

Yeah. I'm just taking each day as it comes. My symptoms are lots of pulling above pubic bone, boobs killing and I'm starving all the time. Never had the extreme hunger thing before.

I know what you mean, if it’s not going to work out I just want to know as soon as possible so I probably will get a scan at some point. It would be lovely to get a glimpse of baby before Christmas!

Lovely lines, I'm so happy for you hopefully we both get to travel this journey together . When I had my miscarriage at around 8 weeks they said baby had stopped growing at 5 weeks. I guess I just want to be sure I'm pregnant still. Gonna book for around 3rd Dec.

Eek it’s exciting to see the progression and get the digital result isn’t it! All looks amazing. I’ve got nice progression on cheapies now and a good line on a FRER this morning (13dpo).

I’m so torn on early scans. With my TFMR a ‘good’ scan at 8 weeks gave me a bit of false hope I think and with my MMC we had waited until 10 weeks to go for a private NIPT - that’s where we found out the baby stopped growing at 8 weeks. But I really treasure the pictures I got at those scans. Can’t decide what to do really.

That's annoying. Hopefully it comes early so you can test as soon as possible. I did my digital this morning. 16dpo

I bought an early scan off Groupon too. With code it was £22.89 or something. Will try and book it for first week in December

My Amazon order got delayed 🥲 hoping my tests arrive tomorrow! Still getting positives on my cheapies, they’re very very slowly getting clearer!

I'm feeling good. I ran out of frer so ordered a clear blue 2 pack with normal test and digital weeks indicator which should arrive by 7pm. I'm 15dpo so still early days. Not sure if I'm still too early for the digital. Bit scared to do that one.

@Balajake yes got FRERs and a weeks Clearblue arriving today. Another slightly stronger cheapie line this morning. It’s hard to feel excited tbh but we’ll see how we go.

How are you feeling?

Oh wow. Crossing everything for you @Dowisetrepla I got a faint shadow on my cheapie at 9dpo. Maybe get a frer to be sure

@Balajake congratulations, I remember you from when I was in here after my TFMR (mummabear40 then). I remember feeling so sad for you when you had your Christmas Eve loss. I’m sending you lots of positive vibes x

I know what you mean about the midwife. Torn between getting that pregnancy on record and the fear of having to call back a few days later. So happy your lines are progressing though and that you’re feeling calm. There’s absolutely no reason this shouldn’t work out for you xxx

Fingers crossed for you two.

I did the self refer form for midwife yesterday as I'm obviously high risk at my age. I'd recent been put on Ramipril for high blood pressure too. I rang GP the day I got my first positive and he changed it straight away to Labetalol as ramipril isn't safe. Was only on them a week lol. They suggested I ring midwife that day but because of previous chemical pregnancies I asked them to just let me have a Couple of days. I deffo don't think this is a chemical now as my frer are progressing each morning.
Just early miscarriage to get past now, then the dredded growth scan. I feel calm right now though, calm and content for what it's worth. I just want this so bad as I feel this is basically my last shot as I'm nearly 43. Not sure I can try again if turns out there's something majorly wrong. So for now I'm just enjoying the moment.
I'm crossing everything for you too in the 2WW.

Hopefully that aspirin was the magic touch! With my first pregnancy I knew early on as I had that exact sensation in my boobs, I could feel it coming.

I’m in my TWW right now and feeling super tired and hormonal the last couple of days so obviously going back and forth in my mind about whether it’s pregnancy or PMS! I ovulate quite late, about day 20, and usually get my period by day 29 or 30 latest, so I’m lucky I only have to wait ten days ish before my period rocks up and it’s a bit easier to avoid the obsessive testing.

Oops hit send before I'd finished.
The only thing I've done differently this month is started taking 75mg aspirin before bed with my prescribed 5mg folic acid. I started on first day of my period and I'm still taking it now.

Hi, I'm so very sorry for what you've been through. My own thread is here somewhere from the minute I had my scan to the CVS to the termination. It was hell, then desperately trying to get pregnant again only for it to take ages then end in tears all over again. It certainly is a rollercoaster and not a good one.

I'm 11dpo and today my boobs are tingling like crazy. I can only liken it to when your boobs full up with milk after you've fed baby or pumped milk. It's a really strong constant feeling. On around 6dpo I had very achy boobs so I kind of had a weird feeling I might get pregnant this cycle. I'd actually stopped doing opks as I'd run out and couldn't be bothered buying more but I do get pain when I ovulate so we BD'd day 14, 15 and 16. I had slight ov cramping on day 14 then stronger on 16 so I think I ovulated on CD16.

@Balajake wow, congratulations and I can imagine the absolute rollercoaster of emotions you’re on. I weirdly have a very similar history to you. One living child conceived easily in 2018 but then an Edwards TFMR in Nov 2021 and a MMC at 8 weeks over the summer. I’m still trying and know now that I’ll never feel uncomplicated joy at a BFP again. Sending love, good vibes, sticky bean energy and everything else. I hope you have the time and energy to care for yourself and give yourself what you need in the coming weeks 💖 Have you any symptoms yet? When will you register with the midwife?
