Just had my 13 week scan and reading notes at bottom: they mention 2 'thick membranes, ?placental edge membranes or ?amniotic bands'. They didn't mention these to me at the time but I've now googled both and sounds like 1st possibility could be sign of a circumvallate placenta (not good) and 2nd could be v bad indeed. They apparently aren't currently entangling the foetus in any way, but I'm now v worried, feeling very down about my pregnancy and generally rubbish. Has anyone else had these things, and if so what happened? Not seeing mw for another 4 weeks so nobody to ask if I'm making a fuss for nothing or not!
