Maybe it's slightly the caged animal feeling that seems to have set in since I started maternity leave that's making me unreasonable but when DH works 50 miles away from home and he forgets his phone surely I'm right to let him know I'm less than 'unimpressed'! Instead he thinks I've totally over reacted as it would only have been a problem if I'd actually gone into labour! Methinks he's totally missed the point here!

I'm not saying I want huge gushing apologies but some awareness of the hugeness of this mistake might be nice. Is 1st pg and all my family are 200 miles away so my sole support is DH which inevitably means I am taking alot all of my frustrations out on him.

I feel like in these last couple of weeks I've just become neurotic and whingey and just not a very nice person! And this last thing has just made explode! Anyone else going through this in their last few weeks!

YANBU - I got upset with DP when he went out and wasn't answering his phone when I was only about 14 weeks gone! My excuse was pregnancy hormones making me freaky... Now you've got a valid excuse to make a big poster to stick on the back of the front door saying, "don't forget your phone again".

LOL Plasticwoman, I suddenly got panicky the first time I realised I was at home alone in the house with my foetus at about 6wks pg! It just seemed so spooky, this parasite trying to kill me through vomiting! Turned up at my mum's house in tears

YANBU, ellybett. Even if he doesn't miss anything you really don't need the extra stress of not being able to contact him.

When I was 37 weeks I was hospitalised with pre-eclampsia. I went into labour suddenly during the night, dh had gone to bed with his mobile switched off and wearing ear plugs, so he couldn't hear the landline either! Luckily my parents live nearby so I phoned them and they had to use their spare key to let themselves in and wake him!
DS was born by em c/s at 6.30 that morning so he would have missed everything.
His excuse? 'I wasn't expecting you to go into labour and I needed a good night's sleep'
He will never be allowed to forget it!
