AIBU?

To make roast potatoes , and only roast potatoes for dinner tonight?

well, am I??

been to the beach this afternoon , had a late and large picnic. Have a yearning for roasties.

DD looks as though she is going to fall asleep any minute, and DS is stuffed to the gills and DH is eating at a friends later...

so, am I unreasonable to make lovely, golden, crispy roast potatoes, sprinkled with some rock salt, to eat in front of the computer , for dinner??

Well it was white bread but not exactly cheap.

I'm going to have another one tomorrow.

Thunderduck!

And I meant I've NOT admitted it yet!

Mozzarella is a bit posh for fish finger sandwiches. I hope at least that you had el cheapo white bread?

It was actually.

Thunderduck - was it the fishfinger thread that did it? I have to confess that I bought them for the first time ever yesterday...have actually admitted it on the ff thread yet though!

I am currently stuffing half a packet of jaffa cakes plus a bottle of sparkling elderflower, some pringle and chilli sauce. It's my anniversary so I though I had better make myself desirable for DH.

I am completely full and yet craving both fish fingers and roast potatoes. Grrr....

I want another one actually.

I had it with mozzarella and a little ketchup. I don't care how gross it sounds, it was delicious, besides the application of cheese improves everything.

I've just had my first ever fishfinger sandwich which was delicious but now I'm craving potatoes thanks to you. Ideally boiled and with garlic butter.

OK. Now I need to know how you do proper home made roast potatoes, and eat them, in 61 minutes. [piercing glare]

YABU, I don't have any potatoes to roast and in any case they make me fat. So if I can't have any I don't see why anyone else should be enjoying themselves.
