To think that Humza Yousaf is deliberately trying to make the SNP unelectable?

To me it seems like he is making one massive blunder after another and at this point I'm seriously wondering if he's a sleeper agent deliberately trying to make the SNP look incompetent, childish and misogynistic. I can't vote for them anymore but still have a (dwindling) amount of friends who still will vote SNP but increasingly are complaining about him and wish there was a better steer. For context - I'm from a similar ethnic background to him but I don't agree with what I perceive as his entitled male behaviour.

AIBU - Humza is doing a great job and will lead Scotland into a glorious independence.

YANBU - Humza is "at it"

I think he’s genuinely thick as mince and doing the scattergun approach to win votes from the FREEEEDUMB sheep.

Im just hoping that their virtual dismissal of the CASS report is yet another nail in the coffin…along with the hate crime bill…and gender shite…and education and and and….but I have a terrible fear that people won’t use tactical voting to get them out next election

He is a failure, in the failure that is the Scottish government. He has been a disaster in every post he has held , and anyone who thought he would be a decent FM is utterly mad. He is just another fool on the gravy train, another grifter like Sturgeon, and anyone who votes for the SNP/Greens in the future should be ashamed of themselves.

He displays a lack of intelligence and appallingly bad judgement on every issue and has no leadership skills. Scotland has no hope of improved government under him. In a way he’s doing sensible people a favour though as hopefully he will discourage voters so much that the SNP will lose its majority. But Labour is almost as bad and just nodded through both the gender recognition Bill and the Hate Crime Bill. How can we get a better calibre of politicians?

Neither, he's just thick and completely out of his (toddler pool) depth.

I think 'leadership skills' in a post Sturgeon/Murrell/actually going back as far as Salmond SNP were always going to be a good watch. Reins have had to be loosened and on this I suspect he's pretty average. It's just interesting to watch how he's doing it.

In terms of his other competence though, I don't think he's very bright and I certainly don't think he's very principled. I admit I had concerns about his faith and women's rights (felt the same way but worse about Kate Forbes) but he's happy to throw everything he believes in under the bus for a be kind soundbite.

There just comes a point where you have to say 'right, we've got what we've got, let's just crack on' which the SNP seem to be unable to reach. Felt the same way when I heard Sturgeon complaining that misogyny hadn't been 'fixed' in her lifetime: at that point she'd been FM for yonks and had sat in power for decades. I am so over people IN ACTUAL POWER shrugging their shoulders and saying 'what can you do, eh? Men! Tories! Westmonsters! Hateful Wims!'. Just do your jobs.

I'd like it if he put more energy into doing positive things to help people - more support for families affected by addiction and mental health illness in parents, kids affected by the lockdown, bereavement etc
National suicide prevention strategy
Age awareness and dementia support.

I don't understand what his policies actually are and what he actually thinks about Scotland. Mind you I could say the same about all of them.

SNP look incompetent, childish and misogynistic.

Haven't they looked this way for years?? But he is on a different level of stupidity, and not as able to mealy-mouth his way round it

This is going to go really well for him.

He just makes me sick. Misogynistic racist twat that he is

I think he's sick of the intrusion and having to be accountable. He wants out and probably has his eye on a well paid career in private business.

It's like when your lazy boyfriend can't be arsed finishing with you so he just becomes more and more insufferable until you do the deed yourself.

I've often thought 'this politician is so useless they must be doing it in purpose'

It never turns out they are. Always turns out they are genuinely a total numpty.

Pretty disappointing tbh.

He's an absolute clown. Thick as mince, no life experience, handpicked by the awful Nicola Sturgeon to continue her "legacy", in bed with the equally unhinged Greens.

To be fair with the "unlectable" - he's only continuing the work the odious Nicola started with her lockdowns, missing money, campervans etc etc etc. And there is still a hardcore of people who would vote SNP either because they have a misguided belief that an independent Scotland would be a land of milk and honey and we'd all be loaded, or because they hate the English.

There is a complete lack of talent from all parties in Scottish politics. Bunch of washed up student politicians who could never hack it in a real world job. It's costing us as bloody fortune to run their offices and pay their salaries and we are not getting value for money.

I'm starting to wonder what his next idiotic "power move" will be.
It must be annoying for him knowing that Scottish women won't roll over and obey him.

Whenever I think about him I think of this😁
Though seriously he has a serious issue with his temper and isn't good at taking criticism especially from women. He's also showing the over confidence of a mediocre man by getting into a war of words with a world famous author like jk

The most powerful person in the Scottish Parliament is now Ash Regan. Who? She sits for the Alba Party, and now holds the balance of power in the no-confidence voting arithmetic.

Proportional representation just leads to weak government and disproportionate influence by tiny minorities. There's your evidence.

Tiny minorities are why Rishi Sunak is leading a weak 'Zombie' government.

The Irish have PR and a strong government, the Germans have done for most of the last 30 years.

As for the current SNP, I hope they lose the vote of no confidence. They are the best argument against Scottish independence.

Eh, sorry but no!

Here in Ireland we absolutely do not have a 'strong government' whatever you think that means - we have a bunch of incompetent fucktards who are doing more damage than good; a justice minister hell bent on bringing in our own shitty hate crime laws that nobody wants, a government who brought an unpopular referendum that cost millions and which they were advised against running but they ran anyway because they are arrogant shites, and then when they lost the vote, they blamed people for being too stupid to vote 'correctly', the most expensive children's hospital never built (more than 2 billion euro now and it's still not finished), a government determined to take in as many refugees as possible, despite the fact that we have a housing crisis and nowhere to put them, among many many other things - I could go on and on and on....

Thankfully many of our politicians are abandoning the sinking ship knowing they won't get re-elected, because they are so unpopular. Even Leo Varadkar recently did a runner, leaving a mess behind, and I for one can't wait to get rid of the rest of them come the general election next year.

Sorry for the rant - just know Scottish people you are not alone in hating your shitty government and being appalled at the damage that just a few stupid, selfish people in power can do.
