And I bloody love the horrified reactions more than the delighted ones:

What???
Oh my god that's a mouthful isn't it?
Is that a name? Oh, I'd call him 'xxx'

It's not even that out there, I think people are just rude, but it cracks me up

@Cormakorma couldn’t agree more. Especially the ludicrous spellings children are saddled with now. “Oh look at me with my out there kids’ names!” 🙄

I knew a Jaiymz once. Why give your kid such a vanilla (but solid) name like James, but just for an added twist, saddle him with having to spell it out for the rest of his life?
People called James should not have to say “It’s James, but with an I, also, a Y and a Z but no E.”

I also name my daughter a name that makes anyone over the age of 50 clutch their pearls and gasp in disgust.

it’s a beautiful name but has negative stigma attached too it unfortunately

Is it Myra?

Why do you need to know the name? It's not a post about whether or not we were unreasonable to choose the name. Its about where iabu to find it amusing when people are confused/rude 🤷🏼‍♀️

How can anyone possibly comment on whether you're unreasonable to find it amusing when we don't know what the name IS?

Are you feeling particularly starved for attention tonight or something? Could you not just start a parking thread (with diagrams)? That usually draws the punters like flies to shit.

This. Or post it on Facebook you'll have lots of take no notice hun comments to make you feel better. Loads of attention

When I read the first common I immediately knew the OP wouldn’t reveal the name and try and argue the name is irrelevant. Agree pointless point - probably bored on a Sunday evening

Such an attention seeking thread when you have no intention of even revealing the name. How tedious.

IME people try really hard to not be rude about children's names. I have a friend who picked a marmite name, people are always polite.
The names be bonkers if people are outright rude, or can't hide their confusion. It may be funny for you, but I wonder how your young child will feel carrying around that moniker for their life.

I usually rant on here that people are rude or mean in replies but seriously, what’s the point of this post? Making a mere statement, with no question. No real area for discussion because she’s not telling us the name. Attention seeking at its finest. More annoyed with myself for bothering to reply.

Spelt backwards, we know 🙄

Extra points for when it isn't, because the parents didn't manage to correctly spell heaven backwards.

I didn't realise it would be marmite until we'd named him tbh. I've posted enough info on here that I could easily be recognised if I share the name. Should have name changed really and put his name in the OP but didn't realise people would be so bothered 🙄

Yes, you could never have known that people would want to know the name.

Me too. No idea why people have to be such twats 🤷🏼‍♀️

Because threads like this are tedious and usually made up anyway. Have you really got nothing better to do, because this is pointless.
