Oh no, so what are you doing now? Have you found someone else?

They're such unreliable wotsits. The only thing is if he's that flakey, he might have been rubbish anyway.

He’s half finished the job!

Eh? How are we meant to know!

IME tradespeople are the most unreliable, unprofessional and untrustworthy types. I've only ever been left with negative feelings.

Clearly never dealt with hmrc 😶

I’ve consulted the entrails of a sheep and can confirm he will come next week as promised. However, if he doesn’t let me know because I might have called it incorrectly, I’m new to prophecy.

I think the magic kitchen fairies will come and do it, probably with a few gnomes as well. Pete might turn up as well. And if you're lucky he'll bring Andy. That's what I think. Stupid thread.

Don't lose hope yet, it the kitchen stored somewhere dry/safe, just concentrate on not letting it get damaged this week and keep in touch with the fitter for a firm start date.

I'd be gutted too, especially if the old kitchen is already out!

Tradesmen are always running behind or pushing back things. It's normal. He'll come.

Yeah I spoke to Mike and he said he will be there on the dot of 8am. No worries.

No I spoke to Steve.
He said Mike says whatever he needs to cut the call short.
It's Lee who calls the shots.
But Lee lost his diary in 2013 and now uses the back of Howdens quotes to schedule the work.
And apparently Dave cleared the van out and binned all the important stuff.

Our bathroom fitter phoned to say they would be delayed by a week and they arrived 8am the following Monday and stayed until the work was complete. There’s supply issues, some jobs take longer etc. Hopefully same experience for you too.

We are having 4 rooms-worth of carpet delivered today and I fully expect our carpet fitter to let us down. Good luck OP.

In my experience, he won’t come.

In my opinion, he won't come because he has double booked to fit a sex swing in your neighbour's kitchen.

Hope for best and text him m the day before with a question such as "what time do you think you will arrive tomorrow to start the job?"

If he doesn't answer then you have my permission to worry.
