Is this what the young people are wearing these days? Face jewellery? Doesn't look very comfortable. Am I missing something here, would you wear this?

Sorry about the long link, I tried to just upload a picture but it was too small.

Not too far away from the 80's. Remember when folk wore a chain going from the nose stud to the ear?.

Those bum jewels just look like she sat down in some gravel for too long.

As a 25yo I confirm that none of us wear this except the occasional person who is 'alternative' or tries to be different.

Festival style is different though and yes I've worn some bonkers stuff to those - Crystal headdresses etc. They're meant to be ridiculous (have never worn bum jewels mind).

The half glasses might work to
Gold you mask closer on your face and eliminate gaps over the nose area 🤷🏻‍♀️ a few years ago there were arse jewels in primark. I can just see my husband telling me to hurry up and me shouting back ‘hang on I’m putting my arse jewels in!’

Thanks, I've been looking for that perfect something for DH for Christmas.

To each their own obviously, I thought it looked a bit silly out of context on my feed in amongst mom jeans and sensible jumpers. At a festival no, it probably wouldn't raise a bejeweled eyebrow.

It's like something a humanoid alien would wear in a 1980s sci fi.

I used to do something similar with rosary beads when I was about 8 years old.

@CuriousaboutSamphire

That's got "cultural appropriation" written all over it, surely.

Or does that not count when the 'beautiful/woke' people do it!

Cultural appropriation? I’m sure there are people who would say that. Not me though. It’s fashion innit?

It’s for festivals/raves not for everyday wear haha

& I've had to change my style of earrings because they didn't work well with a mask.
there's a reason why it's reduced to half price

I also would have said that it's for festival goers. Or as my DD and her friends would say would say 'I've got this for the fezzies'. Many people go all over Europe to dance, do drugs and wear bizzare things.

Asian and Arab cultures have traditionally warn jewellery on the face.

Is it really so out there? That’s not to say the bloke in the pic doesn’t look ridic.

I have a strong suspicion that ASOS deliberately lists weird stuff in order to have it go viral

That is just for the hat, not the face chain, in case anyone misses that and buys it.

Mask jewellery is already a thing.

I would think it would be stuff they would have sold to people going to festivals but can't now.
