Hands up, I am a boring person.
My life is a bit dull and I don't really do many interesting things on a daily basis. My dh is nice and normal, my dc are lovely and have no health problems and my family are on the right side of crazy. We have a boring car, go on boring holidays and have boring friends (whom I love, btw!).

So what??

If I want to post a thread asking how to get stains out of my Le Creuset, I am bl**dy well going to do it no matter what anyone says. If I had a more interesting life then I might ask advice on getting bodily fluids out of sequins thongs, but I buy mine from M&S and they are machine washable at 40 degrees.

I know that there are so many people on MN who have really difficult things to overcome and who are still nice, friendly and helpful to us boring posters. That is how it should be I think. And F*ck you if you don't agree

Not sure doodle, but I think you use one of those glass boilers in a pan.

I am being serious here, though I really hate to have to qualify that, but I really want a dualit toaster. There is a really pretty pink one that does 4 slices. I just really like it sooo much and wish that I could tamper with our toaster in some way to break it without dh being any the wiser.

lol sugar, we seem to have a farmer who has little cliques, there are four cows outside our house, but half way up the road, there are some more and if you drive round the other side there are another 4/5. They don't seem to get on.

very sly amy.
I could learn a thing or two from you. I just tell everyone "look, I am a crap cook!". Thanks to my LC (Le Creuset will be known by me as LC in my sad attempt to be exclusive) I have no excuses.

Vikkin, I live in London too!!
We have cows outside our window as well Lorayn, but the ones we have are dressed up as tarts and are stumbling out of the pub.

Just popped back in what I insist (just to wind up dh) on referring to as 'the interval' of the rugby. I am resolutely ignoring any elements of this convo that are not to do with pans and/or other cooking utensils. LEsmum... perhaps if your rabbit could double as a whisk for whipping cream or egg whites (e.g. to make tiramisu - my speciality) then it might be worth the money. Otherwise I'd go for the toaster. (But then I am quite food-motivated... )

lol but amy, if you burn the Le Creuset, you can say, oh its okay, its the iron, not me and then tell DH about the lifetime guarantee.

I like my village, I have cows outside my front window.
And no-one is missing anything about keane, they are like a happy shopper version of snow patrol, minus the nice voices and guitars.

Just for the record.
Over the years I have invested loads of money is all sorts of parenting books, from Miriam Stoppard to Steve thingummyjig. They were quite interesting, especially some of the pictures in Miriam's pregnancy and birth books.
However, I come to the conclusion that small persons are just plain strange. You just have to muddle through until one day you realise they are not acting so strange. This is a definite sign that they are growing up.
I'm sorry to confess I don't know much about Keane. I suppose I am not keen on Keane. I don't know what this says about my social standing and quite frankly my dear I don't give a damn. I am not a sheep (though some may say I look like one) I have no need to follow.
I don't live on a croft, or in a remote village, or in a small town. I am London born and bred. Never lived further than 12 miles from No 10. But my observation is that it is possible to feel very isolated in the city. And if I have to feel isolated I am sure it's nicer to look out upon the bens and lochs than the druggies and muggies.
Cor, look, I can be serious.

Just popped back on and OMG!!
Please...

The latest le Creuset conversation was not even a joke, as far as I was concerned anyway. Lorayn is going to buy some and we were just giving advice.

Talulasmum - just to let you know, as you are new and may not know, there is a lovely parenting section that is filled with MNers who would probably love to discuss this topic at length. Just click "here" at the top to start a new thread. You will probably get much more enjoyment out of chatting to people of like minds who regularly post on the parenting/behaviour/adult non-fiction threads. Of course, some people here tonight do post on them, but this is not really the right thread if you want to get the most out of what you want to discuss.

on the whole "just to stir things up".

I am honestly finished being offended by any comments made on this thread. Say whatever you want and I shall just

Lorayn, I have not left you alone with all of this forever, just had my dins!!

I think my pans mostly came from sainsburys but at least a decade ago and they are still perfect.

I love teflon pans (NB... why among the emoticons isnt there a little heart?).

Mine are all aquired from supermarkets. All bloody wonderful... I actually enjoy washing them up as it all just comes off with a swish. Teflon wok is brilliant.

I have a parenting book called something like How to help your procrasting child. I'm not 100% sure because I never got round to reading it.

Phew, you lot are back.
Truly Doodle have a look at the Tesco Finest. The milkpan is non-stick but the larger ones aren't. But they clean up really well. I am known to be very heavy-handed with my cookware but these are at least a year old and they're doing really well.
