Frozen shoulder

Does anyone have any advice I was diagnosed with frozen shoulder today. I'd never heard of it before but someone suggested that could be what I had and the gp agreed. I found some exercises on u tube and did them this morning will carry on with those
The gp said it could last from 1 to 3 years and its likely it will get worse before it gets better. She prescribed naproxen. Can any one offer and advice for me to deal with this?
Thank you

If it hurts at night look at shoulder supports, whilst you want to exercise it in the day I found strapping it up at night meant I could get some sleep, I am a front sleeper so the support made a difference to me. They are about £20 on amazon,. Make sure you get it for the correct side.

Mine was something like this

www.physioroom.com/product/PhysioRoom_Neoprene_Shoulder_Support_Strap_Shoulder_Rehab_Rotator_Cuff_Shoulder_Tendonitis/2042/39110.html?gclid=CjwKCAiA9bmABhBbEiwASb35V-2E1kToOfCzy8BLzAwEzAQMOwELfGeORvaoHD5QPsBxp2qYxPp0XRoCl7cQAvD_BwE

I sometimes used it in the day when it got V achey as I sit at.a computer all day,. Was. Just careful to make sure I limited it in the day so I was still exercising it.

Had op today (privately). He said it was worse than anticipated so took bit longer and the pain afterwards was awful. Don't mind admitting I cried like a baby in recovery and morphine and fentanyl didn't touch it.

At home recovering and hopefully tomorrow will be the start of pain free living and I can finally do my hair and put a bra on!

I had this a couple of years ago, left shoulder, referred for physio which really helped, took paracetamol for the pain

Just before Christmas my right shoulder started, did a few of the exercises, but because it’s my dominant arm I was having to use it, despite pain and it’s got better more or less on its own

Really recommend physio

If calcium deposits are involved, vitamin K2 supplements may help.

I had a frozen shoulder for three years.
It was agony.
It woke me every night and I struggled to get dressed etc.
I had cortisone injections and finally a hydro injection.
Nothing worked.
Then I bought a very expensive pillow, much shallower than the two pillows I was used to but more supportive.
Over about three weeks the pain and stiffness reduced, and finally resolved completely.
It could have been a total coincidence, I have read that a frozen shoulder can resolve after a few years without treatment.
Who knows?
Good luck!
