At last, LBC has ditched the nation's favourite 'populist' from his nightly radio programme. AIBU to say this is very good news?

They don't seem to tolerate extreme views

Actually LBC do until it brings in too much negative publicity. We all knew with KH was about for years and KL

Enthusiasm is right, as long as the revenue's performing they'll have anyone who earns for them. But the most odious presenters have now gone I think which gives me hope that the brexit poison is wearing off a bit. I haven't heard anywhere near the quantity of right wing loons in the last few months, nor seen so many on here, as there were prior to the sanctification of Bozo.

Good. I’m always stunned at the number of Ubers I get in with BIPOC drivers listening to his shit.

Great news. He man is a hideous little racist and has done untold damage to this country by stirring up his racist mob to vote Leave.

Hopefully Boris Johnson's racist rants will be next under the microscope. I do despair than a man can publicly and repeatedly call BAME people racist names, be cheered to the rafters and voted into number 10 with a huge majority. What have we sunk to, I feel so ashamed.

he referred to Barack Obama as “disgusting”

Almost - 2016;
"That Obama creature, loathsome individual, couldn't stand our country. He said we'd be at the back of the queue [for trade deals], didn't he?"
www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-37934790

He appears to be upset by the UKBLM fundraiser site - which to be fair sounds a bit suspect;

"We’re guided by a commitment to dismantle imperialism, capitalism, white-supremacy, patriarchy and the state structures that disproportionately harm black people in Britain and around the world."

Dismantle capitalism and state structures??

Pretty much universal then. Certainly according to the comments. Of course there will always be a few cowards voting YABU

Just had to look up BIPOC - ‘Black, Indigenous, People Of Colour’ for others like me who hadn’t heard of it before - surely that’s an American term. “Indigenous” people in the UK are white, it doesn’t really translate here.

LBC has presenters from lots of different points of view. Some I can tolerate and some I can’t. I would never vote conservative but I do enjoy listening to Iain Dale for example. I appreciate the variety of different views that are given a platform, and by the very nature of the station being a talk station, challenged by the listeners. But after the latest racist comments from Farage I think LBC had no choice but to let him go. I agree with commentators on Twitter that they should platform more people of colour (and more women, for that matter, aside from Shelagh Fogarty and Majid Nawaz, isn’t it entirely presented by white men?), but I think they need to keep the approach of having voices across the political spectrum, and whilst the Brexit debate rumbled on, Farage made some kind of sense. He ruined it though.

during that time finding that Britain cannot afford it and revoking Article 50

Sorry to be pedantic but we cannot revoke article 50. That is the mechanism for leaving the European Union and we have already left. Brexit has happened.

The only way back in is to apply to rejoin - and not only would that be on much worse terms than we enjoyed before but it only takes one of the 27 member countries to veto our application (and who could blame them after what we've done?) and that is it - they will not let us back in the club.

Good news about Farage - but the damage is already done, and we will feel the full effects come 1st January 2021.

Oh well that's brilliant news, never listen to LBC but glad the little tuss has been shown the order of the boot anyway as cannot stand his racist views

They had to get rid of him. Comparing the Taliban to the BLM movement was unforgivable and could possibly incite hatred. Dangerous, vile creature

People might be indigenous to the country they come from.... even if they now live somewhere else? Unless you believe that any of the systemic racism, underfunded healthcare and education systems etc, etc stops affecting people after they leave the country they were born in? Anyway, hardly the point. Happy that Farage is off the air for now at least.

I don't understand how anyone who supports him could be anything other than a racist themselves? What else has he got?

Anyone who supports him is racist. So all the YABU voters are racists IMO.

Made my day. LBC has been my companion during working days for many years now, but always had to turn off when that twat came on for fear of what it would do to my blood pressure! Same with Katie Hopkins as well 🤣.

Though I have got into the habit of listening to the Gresham College lecture series some afternoons when the who,e coronavirus thing has got too much to cope with.....
