j20baby · 27/08/2007 19:26

don't even iron before i wear it.

is this carried on from another thread or is it a serious question?

Spidermama · 27/08/2007 19:27

What is this 'iron' of which you speak?

BBBee · 27/08/2007 19:27

YABU (and a little odd!)

j20baby · 27/08/2007 19:27

oops just read properly.

don't mean that i wear sh*t

paulaplumpbottom · 27/08/2007 19:27

Who has sold you wrinkly clothes?

BBBee · 27/08/2007 19:34

LOL J20

tori32 · 27/08/2007 19:47

LOL Why? For what purpose? If I buy anything 2nd hand I wash before I wear, so I also iron it. What did you get that was creased?

Blandmum · 27/08/2007 19:56

No, it would burn and stick to the bottom of the iron. Harncore carnevores might be able to get away with it, but if you are veggie and/or have enough fibre in your diet it would just be very messy

heifer · 27/08/2007 20:03

Yuck MB - I have just eaten...

I don't understand why people don't iron stuff before they take a photo of it and put it on ebay?

Surely it would sell easier if it looked nice..

And why do they put it onto of horrible swirlly carpet?

Blandmum · 27/08/2007 20:05

My MIL tried to sell her horrid swirly rugs on Ebay, funilly enough no-one wanted them. They were too vile to even be 'retro'

heifer · 27/08/2007 20:08

so thats how you spell swirly - I knew it didn't look right....

Bet even the dust bin men left them behind..

Amazes me what does actually sell on ebay - so they must have been bad if they didn't sell...

Blandmum · 27/08/2007 20:09

Oh god, don't go by my spellings , whatever you do. I'm about the worst speller on MN!

alicet · 27/08/2007 20:10

I would iron to take photos but if it then got creased in the wardrobe (I have 3 cats so would keep it hidden away so they couldn't sit on it and cover it in cat hair!!!) then tough! Plus it will get creased in the post anyway and agree with poster who said I would always wash second hand clothes before wearing anyway!

Also agree with J20 that don't iron most of my own stuff before wearing anyway!

heifer · 27/08/2007 20:13

MB - I was going to say that surely Cod has that mantle - but then realised that we have no idea how good at spelling she is as her typing is sooo bad...

Dabbles · 27/08/2007 20:14

I mena before they take a picture of it.. personally i dont iron much if i can get away with it.. but if ur r gonna try to sell stuff, surely ppl would be more likely to buy if it looked nice.. just strikes me as lazy.. and strange that someone would buy stuff that looks all creased and not veyr appealing!!

Yes, I find the pile of crumpled rags that pass for a "bundle" of clothes on eBay less than attractive.

Also odd that people often go to the bother of hanging an item up so that you can see it better. See a crunched up old dishrag better that is.
