Ombré eyebrows- I'm old now aren't I?

Idly looking on Facebook I cane across a page advertising an ombré eyebrows page. Basically pages and pages of people praising women who looked like they’d had their eyebrows drawn on with a whiteboard marker and a pantomime baddy stencil...:

www.google.co.uk/search?q=ombre+eyebrows&client=safari&hl=en-gb&prmd=isvn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiT-JCy-OHgAhUPCxoKHRg6DSkQ_AUoAXoECA0QAQ&biw=375&bih=628&dpr=2

All the women featured are clearly very attractive, but the marker pen eyebrow look is unnerving.

Is this fashion?

Am I suddenly the older generation???

I am also old then! These look ridiculous...like they were done with a felt tip pen!

Eyebrows by Crayola. A trend that should die quicker than it has.

Agree they look awful on nearly everyone. Saw a beautiful Asian girl with darker skin with them on the tube and they looked okayish on her. Sometimes I really have to try to stop staring, I can’t actually believe how some otherwise pretty girls are ruining their youthful looks with ridiculous eyebrows that look like your mate played a trick on you in the night when you were passed out drunk! Not a trend I will ever get on board with. Am glad my DD is 10 and hates make up right now as am hoping it will all be over by the time she wants to start experimenting!

@Switsy i did it again around 2 years later.
My brows would grow in 2 totally diff shapes, i got tired of wrongly plucking them. So one day....i just thought the ONLY way to sort them was to shave snd draw identical ones. Then could grow them to match the shape of my pencil lines.

I was clearly a brow genius at 18 Grin

These were once scousebrows. Now even scouse girls wont go near them and prefer proper makeup'd ones. I prefer the Cara Delavigne natural look personally but I have to dye my brows to get them that way 😁

I thought it was a trend for young people but I was at a vair-nice-middle-class-middle-aged-lady event last night and someone about 45ish was talking about going to get her eyebrows tattooed for the first time today. She's travelling an hour to 'the girl' who's doing it because she's so good apparently. I'll never see her again so I've no idea how they'll turn out but I did think her eyebrows were already nice/normal! She seemed excited so fair play to her but not a look I'm keen on.

@FizzyGreenWater It's hysterical though. 'I love it!' they squeal, as Ming The Merciless stares back through the salon mirror GrinGrin

Ok so they are very dark and will no doubt heal much lighter (if they are indeed microbladed?!?!). But why did she need it doing?! Her before photos now make my eyebrows look woefully inadequate and I didn’t think I had any eyebrow inadequacies really!! I’m not sure I’ll be flocking to get it done, and I didn’t think I was that old!

Like others have said they should only look like this when first done, within a week they look really natural. But yes they look awful like that and people do draw them in to look that way. Looks horrendous!!

I like the pink brows in your link op! Otherwise most pics are of unsuitable eyebrows, i.e. a woman with thin brown hair getting thick latina luxurious dark eyebrows. It doesn't work, like so many of these things, lip fillers, etc.

You do understand that this isn’t the finished look don’t you?

It’s a form of tattooing, so it’s black and thick while healing. Once healed they will be normal sized and over 50% lighter. I wouldn’t have them because it looks painful but I’ve seen them finished and they can look great.

You haven’t seen anyone look good with ombré brows because when they’re done properly you can’t tell someone’s had them done. You would think they were natural brows.

To all those calling women who have this done chavs/hombre/drag queens; can we see photos of you to rip apart?

This trend is clearly heading for the monobrow - just one thick black slug drawn by a five year old across your forehead. Lovely.

I must admit the only person I've seen who had this done and whose brows looked lovely and natural was Trinny, but her brow lady is obviously at the top of game and charges accordingly.

I like it but agree you need to wear full make up to make it look good. Looks very stark on a bare face.

I'm 62 and have beautifully micobladed eyebrows.
They don't have to be huge and dark, they are the smartest my eyebrows have ever been

angrybird eyebrows 😂😂

My DD13 has naturally beautiful thick eyebrows ( mine, from my now distant youth) which I hope she will not suddenly start to draw into weird shapes. My own died sometime in the 90s, via waxing and plucking 🐓
