...to see opposite neighbour looking out her kitchen window at me, licking plates before loading dishwasher)

I am not sure whether to be horrified at being caught out red-handed as it were, mid-lick, cleaning my dish before loading it in d'washer or just, oh well, I love my food and none will go to waste whilst I'm around.

Its gross though isn't it...oh... am swinging here...I just can't get enough of the taste and I need to portion control, so don't want to leave anything!

Sure but is not some race to the bottom...

This madenenlaygh out loud. It's one of those things that people do when they don't think anyone is watching. Like picking your nose. Farting really loudly. Scratching your bum

So sorry your neigh our saw you and bless you for your honesty

Where is this normal world that we keep hearing about, I want some of that except I can't sneakily lick plates

It would still be revolting to have to see someone lick an ice cream dish. Even children would be reprimanded for doing so - in the normal world, that is.

I once dated a guy whose dad would pick his plate at the dinner table! My boyfriend also told me that the reason he ate so quickly was because growing up, when their dad had finished eating his own dinner, he would take food from their plates and so you either ate fast or went hungry!

That's brilliant Torn. OP the pearl clutches are out in force tonight. I know you're not the only person to have eaten the leftover food of their DC's plates nor to have scraped up the last bit of something nice from a plate. Would everyone be as shocked if you'd said you were licking the last bit of ice cream out of your bowl before putting it in the dishwasher! I somehow doubt it.

We all do weird things behind closed doors, don't we? I just make sure my curtains are closed first.

She opted for pizza - it rocks!
Free of the taunts and mocks
But at the end of the meal
Her neighbours did squeal
She was caught licking cheese off the box

Thinking of having shame-free pizza tonight, no plates.
