The Trump-Putin Summit in Helsinki, coming so soon after Trump’s ally-crumbling display in Britain and at the EU, is still sinking in. Let’s just say: he’s in all kinds of shit. All the kompromat.

....Also, why is Mueller only appointing Angry Dems, some of whom have worked for Crooked Hillary, others, including himself, have worked for Obama....And why isn’t Mueller looking at all of the criminal activity & real Russian Collusion on the Democrats side-Podesta, Dossier?

Is Robert Mueller ever going to release his conflicts of interest with respect to President Trump, including the fact that we had a very nasty & contentious business relationship, I turned him down to head the FBI (one day before appointment as S.C.) & Comey is his close friend..

There is No Collusion! The Robert Mueller Rigged Witch Hunt, headed now by 17 (increased from 13, including an Obama White House lawyer) Angry Democrats, was started by a fraudulent Dossier, paid for by Crooked Hillary and the DNC. Therefore, the Witch Hunt is an illegal Scam!

Meanwhile in North Korea: NK has been staying relatively quiet, keeping its usual fiery U.S. editorials on the backburner for the moment. That doesn’t apply to Japan, however. Japan is NK’s least favourite neighbour and most frequent target of animosity, especially now.

Minju Joson Slams Japan's Cry for "Forcible Inspection"

Pyongyang, July 29 (KCNA) -- Recently, the Abe group of Japan is talking about "forcible and surprise inspection of nuclear facilities in north Korea."

The Japanese media are also misleading public opinion, crying out for the "strict inspection", "forcible inspection" and "prior coordination."

Minju Joson on Sunday says in a commentary in this regard:

It is nothing but crafty and disgusting acts of guys of an island nation.

Japan has neither justification nor qualifications to meddle in the nuclear issue on the Korean peninsula.

The Abe group's talk about "forcible inspection" is just aimed to get rid of its poor plight of "being nudged" from the trend of situation around the Korean peninsula and thus show off its entity.

Japan is crying out for the "forcible inspection" of the DPRK but it is Japan to be a subject to forcible inspection.

Japan is not only capable of making thousands of nuclear weapons right now when it has a will but watching for a chance for manufacturing nuclear weapons with a large quantity of plutonium required.

The Japanese reactionaries seek to turn their country into a military giant on a high level with nuclear weapons and thus revenge the defeat in the past war, rush headlong into militarism for overseas invasion and hold the position of the leader of Asia at any cost. -0-

No further news Perking. It's still in the evacuation zone but at least the fire has turned away from that area. 90,000 acres, only 5% contained.

The media is mostly silent on Pence's relationship with Manafort and his knowledge of the Russian connections. Iirc Rachel Maddow covered it quite a lot in the past but she's gone quiet too.

Anyway, the NYT has got its hands on a new book on Pence and all I can say is: be careful what we wish for

Mike Pence, Holy Terror nyti.ms/2OpQYLa?smid=nytcore-ios-share

'Trade Trump for Pence and you go from kleptocracy to theocracy.'

'In Pence’s view, any bite marks in his tongue are divinely ordained. Trump wouldn’t be president if God didn’t want that; Pence wouldn’t be vice president if he weren’t supposed to sanctify Trump. And his obsequiousness is his own best route to the Oval Office, which may very well be God’s grand plan.'

“People don’t understand what Pence is,” D’Antonio told me. Which is? “A religious zealot.”

Any more news on your old house and neighbourhood, Across? I've been thinking of you every time I see the news.

Also, may I ask anyone with good wishes to spare, to cast a few in the direction of Zimbabwe tomorrow (Monday)?

They're going to the polls for the presidential, parliamentary and local elections. They could do with a peaceful day and no trouble afterwards. Positive change would be good, too...

(My godson's school has been closed the last week, as his teachers are off to be election monitors. So there's one person made happy by the election already!)

(I have confirmation bias towards that piece, as I've long said that many people who claim to be against "big government"... aren't.

They're more than happy to have the government do the hard work of collecting money and paying it out for essential services. They just want it to be paid out to... themselves. To their unaccountable private company creaming profit off housing, education, healthcare. Companies like Serco have as their core business, farming government contracts.

They don't want genuine privatisation – just think of the work involved to sell to and bill each individual member of the public! And individual customers withdrawing their individual custom, if dissatisfied! The horror! Much better to sell once, to a chap/ess you've dangled a golden parachute in front of, who isn't the end customer and couldn't care less about the quality of service.)

AM Joy piece on the strange silence from the Tea Party, which was supposedly founded to oppose big government and abhorred bailouts.

Avik Roy has it in a nutshell at 11:20:
a support for big government if it benefits members of the Tea Party, which are generally older, white voters, right, but opposition to big government if it helps other people.

U.S.
SUPPORT FOR DONALD TRUMP'S IMPEACHMENT IS HIGHER THAN HIS APPROVAL RATING, POLL INDICATES
BY GREG PRICE ON 6/22/18 AT 12:43 PM

'President Donald Trump is a mere 1 percentage point away from former commander in chief Richard Nixon when it comes to the number of Americans who want him impeached, according to a new poll released Friday.

A wide-ranging SRSS poll conducted for CNN touched on a number of topics, including Trump’s handling of the investigation into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election, and whether or not the president should testify before special counsel Robert Mueller.

But the question of impeachment stood out most, especially vis-à-vis the only president who ever resigned: Nixon.

Forty-two percent of those polled answered that Trump “should be impeached,” compared to 51 percent who answered they “don’t feel that way” and 7 percent who registered no opinion.'
