I ordered a mattress last weekend. I paid for next day delivery. It didn't arrive so I emailed them. There's no phone number. They ignored me. I have emailed two more times and sent Facebook messages. The mattress turned up today covered in filthy packaging and left propped up outside my house. After removing the wrapping, there are several dirty marks and a small rip on the mattress itself.

What do I do? I can't make contact with this company. The phone number I managed to find online is disconnected. Have I been scammed? Well, yes, I have a mattress but presumably I'm stuck with it as I can't find a way to discuss sending it back in exchange for a clean one! Grrrrrr

I dont have much help except to say that it might be better to start a new thread rather than comment on an old one - lots of people will read the date of the first post and think zombie thread.

Other than that they are a shocking company by the looks. Loads of conplaints on the internet about similar things. Did you pay on credit card? Or contact trading standards if you cant even get a reply?

I have recently (within the last 2 weeks) ordered 2 car seats from Kiddicare, however one of them was damaged and won’t attached to the isofix, I have now contacted them 4 times and have yet to receive a reply from them.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I might get their attention? Shocking supplier and I would never use them again.....

Right. I've spent the last hour cleaning the mattress to get the dirty marks off - looked like it had been dragged across the ground before being packaged as the marks were all on one end. It looks fine now and I don't have the mental energy for a dispute with them - very unlike me but we desperately need the mattress and I have a small baby and a looming house and just don't want the hassle now. If they ever contact me maybe I'll get the delivery fee back. Probably not. I read in the small print that they cannot guarantee any delivery date!

Well, lesson learned. I actually only ordered through them because I searched on here and posters raved about them!!! Grin

They are cuntsville central. They took £70 of my money for a "next day delivery" highchair and it took me 10 weeks to get it back. I emailed them 14 times, tweeted 22 times, facebooked 11 times and they only gave me a refund when I threatened to go to the Fail. A glance at their twitter feed reveals they rip off 90% of their customers - I have no idea how they are still in business.

I ordered a load of new teats a few days ago from kiddicare and they came quickly all nicely packaged etc so I thought they were a great company but I don't think I'll order anything else. I use John Lewis mainly, most baby stuff is all the same price everywhere anyway but I think you get better service from JL. You can claim the money back from your bank potentially but not as fraud as a PP said as that would be fraud as it's a lie, you did make the purchase therefore it's not fraud. You can phone and explain and start a dispute, even with a debit card.

Please be careful phoning any numbers for kiddicare as I've heard that they charge lots for the privilege and will actually never answer the call. Had trouble with them a few months ago. 8 weeks to receive item and only received it then because I involved our credit card company. I will never buy anything from them again. They used to be really good a few years ago too.

When I had my kids 7 years ago Kiddicare was so good - free next day delivery, great customer service, no quibble returns etc.

My sister has just had a baby and had nothing but problems with them.

Have you tried his email address? It's been posted on their instragram in response to disgruntled customers a day or so ago? Would be worth trying

I had this exact problem a couple of weeks ago, it's infuriating. In the end I wrote a scathing review on the Trustpilot website and someone contacted me within a few hours. I was refunded within two days.

I honestly think if I hadn't done that then I'd still be waiting for someone to reply!

As an aside, aren't they compelled to have a telephone number for contact?

I have ordered from them in the past. Never had a problem.

Did you pay by credit card? I'm assuming nothing has changed from when I had a dispute many years ago and I had protection. I had to wait for a predetermined amount of time (3 months maybe) to try to resolve the dispute and was told if unresolved I would get a 50% refund from them.

And I know it's tedious, but did you fill in their online contact form?

I've just looked at their FB page. Everything they post is comemented on dozens of times by disgruntled customers demanding to know where their items are, where their refund is, why nobody responds to their emails etc people typing in CAPITAL LETTERS!

Oh dear. I'm stuck with this mattress now aren't I?

I can't find the number for the new one but you can try and contact Peterborough Garden Park where they're located to see if you can get a number.

They were a family owned local business, expanded, sold to Morrisons who added extra stores, then closed lots of them. They still have a large store in Peterborough.
