Am I unreasonable to think my SIL should pick up his boys after he finishes work to save me having to take them home - especially when I'm tired after having them all day? It's nearly an hour round trip for me.

And I pick them up in the morning.

btw SIL drops them off and picks them up from his parents.

Assuming he doesn't pay you then yes he should drop off and pick up children

What is the point in "thinking" he should do it? Just tell him he has to pick them up. Done.

It depends how much he's paying you. You should definitely negotiate a higher rate if it includes transport of the children. Or he could get a taxi to collect them if he doesn't want to do it?

However if it's not been discussed he might not realise it's an issue - did you originally agree to do it?

Of course he should do the drop off and pick up. He's getting free childcare. You on the other hand, must be frazzled and be paying for extra petrol! I hope he gets you some wine/flowers at the end of half term!
