Dd3 is nearly 10, youngest of 3 girls. We have just bought her a kindle fire for Christmas which she is thrilled with. She didn't have any other tech that was her own before that, she played games and watched stuff occasionally on either mine or dh's iPad.
The kindle fire is fantastic for the money, she can read books, watch stuff, listen to music and play games.
However the games are bloody annoying me and I want to limit the time she spends playing them. I am happy for her to read, listen to music, watch stuff but having games on the same device is obviously very tempting.
I was thinking of saying to her that she can use the kindle during the week but not for games and allow her to play games at the weekend only.
Do you think this is reasonable? I know you'll probably all say it's my fault for buying her the thing in the first place! What time limits do you put in place for a child of her age?
