I'm watching A Knight's Tale and I've always thought that he picked the wrong girl and the blacksmith was a much better catch!

Totally, Blacksmith was hotter and funnier. He just fell for the pretty rich girl.

The blacksmith is the very lovely Laura Fraser whom I've had a girl crush on since she was Lady Door in Neverwhere.

Of course he should have gone for her.

IIRC the blacksmith is a fairly recent widow though, so maybe she didnt want another husband or wasn't ready for new new relationship.

has over thought this

would walk past Heath for Paul

I love the little touch about the pardoner and summoner, who Chaucer did indeed eviscerate in fiction 😄

had it in my head that the Black Prince was the same guy who was Lord M in Victoria, but apparently not.

It's Ademar isn't it?

The extended edition is worth it!

Paul Bettany! "My lords, my ladies ... and everybody else here not sitting on a cushion!"

I always remember thinking how stupid he was not to see what was infront of him. Glad to see I wasn't alone!

Geoff Chaucer was a great character.

Rainy the blacksmith was the better love interest because she was his equal. She wasn't there for decorative purposes,.

The rich one is a terrible actress who can't hide her American accent and they put her in ridiculous clothes and hair styles. I love the film but she just jars in every scene she's in.

Rainydayspending I think you're reading too much into it. It's based in the olden days so therefore they were all horny a la GOT so should have got it on immediately. Poor ending.
