It was on the news about that Italian woman who killed herself due to the notoriety she gained from her sex tape spreading online. Sure she made an error of judgment, but then it became so huge that it destroyed her life.
O/h turned to teenage son and said "I bet we could watch it online".
Shock Shock Shock
I think (hope) he was joking, but I made very clear to them both that it was precisely this attitude on the part of certain men which had driven the poor lass to kill herself, and that I really wasn't amused. WWYHD?

RIP Tiziana.

The problem with visual porn will always be that the end user cannot know if the participants are willing, paid professionals, or coerced by drugs or poverty or immigration status or whatever.

Or indeed that the partipants didn't even know they were being filmed, or thought the film was purely private.

Was it suppose to be a joke? I hear it as a matter of fact statement that shows how depressing the situation is.

I'm not against 'porn' per se, as they are professionals being paid for a job

Not always. Not by a long shot.

Disgusting. On every level. You aren't over reacting, or a killjoy, or someone with a sense of humour failure. He's a prick. What has he said about it now, as that's the important thing.

Our son ignored it - he's a fairly inexperienced 19 year old in his first realtionship with a lass two years younger.... I presume he took it as a lame joke. I certainly can't see him actually wastint time trying to look for that kind of stuff online.
The remark was made 24 hours ago and has not been referred to since I told o/h that I didn't think it was remotely funny. He occasionally makes remarks which could get him into serious trouble if anyone thought he meant them, and I don't normally dignify them with a response, but I thought this time he'd crossed a line and needed to be pulled up for it.

Wow, he sounds great. Lucky you.

What kind of remarks? If they're anything like the one described in your post I would definitely be pulling him up on it.
