would take their complaints to the proper forum
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/facebook

or at the very least include FB in the thread title, so that those of us not interested in the bloody thing don't have to open the thread.

Sallying To go back to the initial premise of this thread - there are entire boards and sections which haven't been posted on for many many months. I've seen many threads started in the relevant section but due to the ensuing tumbleweed they re-post in Chat or AIBU. A lot of posters just skip the relevant boards altogether and just head to the more lively boards. I don't really think it matters tbh.

Would you feel the same way regarding a weightloss thread or a cooking thread or whatever else? As a PP mentioned scrolling through AIBU or Chat at the moment most of those threads have their relevant section.

Fair question.

I think it's a question of degree. The subjects you mention are relatively rare on AIBU, but often on the first page there will be three separate threads about FB. Even that isn't be so bad, when they have a clue in the title so they can be skipped.
What caused me to start this AIBU was a thread that sounded like something very different but turned out to be just another FB complaint.

I dislike very much the arguments and stress that FB seems to engender. I don't use it, and I'd like to follow the frequent advice "If you don't like it, stay away from it." But that's difficult when it creeps up on you in disguise.
