Child at theme park the other day? What do you think? We raised our eyebrows and probably initially eye rolled. Or is Zebedee obviously giong to be a cool cat? Guess Zee has a certain ring to it.

Zeb is a cool name.

I know an Ayrton. Maybe one day he and Senna will meet and marry and have little cars together.

My DH really liked it until I pointed out we have a 5 syllable surname and it would be rather long to say together. We had a girl fortunately.

I really like boys' 'Z' names; Zach, Zeke, Xander etc. so love Zeb but Zebedee is, well Zebedee. Grin

I love Zebedee and I'm not one for wacky names usually. I've got a child with a ridiculously common name.

could be worse. could have had a girl and called her Ermintrude

We have friends in church with a Zebedee, NN Zeb. Obviously a churchy family but he pulls it off.

Perhaps he's called Zebedee because he was born in the spring?

I quite like it... But it does also scream "boing" to me!! Zeb is a cute nickname though.

I love it - it's a ridiculous name for a child IMO but that's just me, it does sound cool though.

Yes I know a Senna - and they where F1 fans!

Zebedee is a Hebrew name - not that wacky - yes it was also a magic roundabout character but I still like it Grin

I know a Zebedee. His brother is Ezekiel. Both solid Old Testament names. They go by Zeb and Zeke which I think are rather cool.

popular surname in parts of Somerset but never heard it as a first name.

Zeb Soanes the Radio 4 continuity/newsreader is a Zebedee :)

Perhaps Zebedee's parents are too young to have ever seen the Magic Roundabout, and don't know why people mutter "boing" to themselves when they hear his name.

I once heard a yummy mummy type calling out "Senna" to get he DSs attention. I guess someone in the family was an F1 fan, but all I could think of was laxatives.

Zebedee and Moses were on my boy list…I was going through an intense hormonal hellfire Biblical name phase.

I have a mate called Zeb, as in Zebedee, but it was just a nickname his parents gave him and it stuck. his real name is Graham :)

I know 2 Zebs, one a young adult, and one a toddler.

Both are from quite religious families, siblings are Rachael, Benjamin, Zach etc.

It's hardly off the wall weird Confused.

It's quite funky. We once played in the park with a Moses.

My son, 8, has a Zebedee in his class.

The first time his mum shouted him on the playground there were a few Hmm and some magic roundabout references but he's a really nice little boy and everyone is used to it. The kids call him Zeb.
