To worry about Social Services?

16 year old son had a meltdown last night. Shouting at me between 1 am and 3 am. Usual teenage rubbish girlfriends, money boundaries. Worried about neighbours calling Social Services and what would happen.

you are the adult - he is the child

let him rant - he's being a brat

ban the GF if she ever calls round at 5am again

IF the neighbours call SS or the police he'll die of shame the silly sod

oh and Childrens Social Work teams have always had a duty of care to 16 and 17 year olds - they just try and get round it - I have spent many a happy hour in the police station with a homeless 16 year old waiting for a duty SW to come and deal with it

they will but you have to push them hard
