OP you should lend your services as travel consultant. I've been holiday hunting and can't find anything close.

Well, somebody had to put a dampener, didn't they!!
I'm sure the OP has done some research on where she's staying aer. A low cost flight is a low cost flight. You get what you pay for. I've used resort hoppers for transfers without problems, and flown Monarch along with other low cost airlines without issue.
Lots of people pay over the odds for holidays and end up having a less than wonderful experience.
I have flown with BA three times, and had my flight times changed on two of those occasions. Angry. Never happened to me with Easyjet, and I have flown with them many times.

It really depends. Perhaps wait until the holiday is a success then demand plaudits? Because 1k is only a good deal if you're not staying somewhere with exposed electrical wires round the pool, drunken staff, building work on next door and a transfer which doesn't turn up.

I love PP we go every year but are giving it a miss this summer we're having a break after last year turned to disaster due to the chauvinist pig we were with.

I have had many drunken nights in Boneys, their cocktail are lethal. We always get a warm welcome. I'll miss it but just need a break. I'm thinking kalcan in Turkey.

That's an amazing deal op! Enjoy Envy

Impressed.

Where are you flying from and what day?

I booked 9 flights to PP for May half term in October. Just under £400 per person return which was cheapest price I could get over the two months i was monitoring them. So £1200 for just 3 flights - thats with Jet 2, EMA, Sat-Sat of half term.

We had villa, car hire and airport parking on top.

Brilliant stuff. We have booked a 2 week holiday to the canary islands in the summer school holidays for 5 of us in a self catering apartment, right on the beach - for £1600 incl baggage and transfers. I a well pleased with that

If you are inspired by this experienced and worshipful e-booking pixie, but haven't explored direct holiday villa/apartment booking before, do read this article on potential scams and make sure you are booking for real. (though sites have tightened up a lot since last year).

Wow Magic that would even be a great price for easter or may half term, but for summer holidays it's very impressive!
Agree with you about spreading out your holidays. Good to always have something to look forward to Smile

Your insurance from your bank account is pretty much worthless in these instances.

Report

Do get good insurance op. We did similar. When kiss flights went bust we were scuppered as the accommodation was still available so insurance wasn't valid. Even the abta thing is amazingly complicated to claim. Luckily I had contacts at the local court to get an affidavit sworn for free to claim for abta but I would never risk it again.

Magic Fab price. Booking everything seperately is the way to go. I don't know why people use travel agents any more.
