And that parents should supervise their children's particiapation in the game far more closely! For the third time in as many days ds1 has been invited to 'join' a classmates clan and has then been 'kicked out', with accompanying silly messages along the lines of 'we hate you, you smell, ha ha ha!'. It's petty bullying, plain and simple. I've spoken to a couple of the parents of the children involved and it's pretty awkward as we're actually really good friends ourselves. None of them, not one, had any idea that the kids could send messages to each other, nor that complete strangers the world over could chat to their children as part of the game. All let their children play completely unsupervised on their own ipads. All were unaware of the potential risks, small, but they're very real. One child had spent over £200 on in game currency after being given his parents password. Ds1 plays only on my phone with me in the room and I check what he's doing every ten minutes or so, and I check his message log every session.
And aside from all of the above the constant whining of 'can I play it now mum, pleeeeeease?!' is driving me nuts! Anyone else suffering from CofC overload?!
