To ask who you plan to vote for and why?

Reading the UKIP threads on here etc its a hot topic of discussion and maybe some people are like me and aren't entirely educated on what each party offers / doesn't and would be interested in reading some views?

DH says Green Party would literally be a wasted vote, and everyone else with a chance is pretty much as bad as each other.

Embarrassed as I am at my lack of political knowledge, I thought others may feel the same and find a thread like this helpful

Green for the European elections and Labour for the London borough ones, the Labour vote will be pretty much wasted where I live though.

I got a leaftet from UKIP this morning in the post. I'm another immigrant and I have really obviously continental sounding first and surnames. LOL

Labour, although I'm the first to admit Milliband is spineless. The Tories are too self serving although this trait seems to run through all 3 parties. UKIP simply terrify me.

Am I right in thinking that the Tories have put forward a former BNP activist in Lincolnshire? And I agree that there are undesirables in all parties. It's how they are dealt with that's important.

As a former Libdem I'm not particularly enamoured with the conduct of Huhne for instance.

I think it's just as important to think about the person you are voting for just as much as their rosette.

Hopefully the candidates in your local area will be holding street stalls, public meetings, hustings etc. If not then why not?

Labour because I always have and probably always will. I'm probably really a moderate Tory by with liberal views on social issues. I'd vote for Ken Clarke if he were my constituency MP.

I couldn't contemplate voting Lib Dem,SNP, Green or UKIP.

UKIP. LibLabCon is just one big party with 3 different brands to appeal to different demographics. Kind of like how you have regular Coke, Diet Coke and Coke Zero. Whichever you buy you're still getting brown fizzy water.

Where I live it's a foregone conclusion that the Tory candidate will win, LibDem second, so I voted tactically for LibDem last time (what a disappointment). I wish I'd voted with my convictions (labour) now. I hate what the Tories have done and are continuing to do to welfare and especially education. And I'd never vote ukip, ever!

Hmmm just had a look and we seem to have 4 MEPS for the whole of Wales currently 1 lab, 1 Plaid Cymru, 1 Tory and 1 UKIP.

Guess who has no CV and barely any activity on there?

Correct UKIP so Vs the others he's spent 4 years collecting his money and doing fuck all.

Anyway I think Europe I'm actually going to go Plaid Cymru (I'm not Welsh btw) because she seems to actually work the most.

For general I would vote Tory because though I disagree with a lot of policy's:

I do think they are taking the economy in the right direction.

I can't bring myself to vote labour

Tories - voted for them last time and will again. Think they have done a good enough job with the economy, they have some good policies (not sure what labours are, do they have any?) and to be honest David Cameron is a hell of a lot better than Milliband, I am not sure I would trust that man running the country.

As for UKIP... I have no words for that racist party.

Green, as usual ever since Labour went all wrong. But going to have to vote labour once more in 2015 as lib dens gained the seat last time, disaster! Should be easily won back by labour in 2015.

I was Labour but switched to Green as a protest as I hated Labour's stance on civil liberties, amongst other things. Also my local Labour MP who was really good retired and was replaced by a Blairite clone. Never considered the Lib Dems, and after the tuition fees deception I'm glad I didn't.

However I do like Ed Milliband, and am very glad he rather than his brother was elected. Minority opinion I know! I'm also relieved to see that one party is at least starting to address the problems with renting /affordable housing in the UK. So Labour in 2015 almost certainly.
