We are next door to a park. Today dh had to clear five separate dog poos from our front garden. Ffs! Disgusting lazy fuckers.

If I catch anyone letting their dog crap in my garden, wibu to go out and throw the poo at the owner??? Grrrrr.

Throw it at them?? No, you'd be completely unreasonable to do anything less than rub the dirty bastards' faces in it. This sort of thing should be severely punished. It's disgusting enough when it's public land, but letting your dog shit in some stranger's garden just makes you the lowest of the low. Ugh.

I am a dog owner.

Yanbu.

I've always been very tempted to carry plastic gloves, put one on, pick up the crap, smear it all over the dog, then tell the owner 'now you're taking it with you'.

It's hideous; piles of dog shit on the pavement where I used to live we're so bad they were a big part of the reason I moved. Complaints to the council were useless.

Yup, you need CCTV. Set up a Twitter feed and shame!

(Disclaimer: no idea if that's legal)

Ops , sorry for the millions of typos

Scarers not carers
Blasts not blade

Etc

You need to shoot the dogs....with water Smile. You can buy motion activated animals carers that blade jets of water at any animal that passes by. I use them to scare off crows that peck my windows. They are really effective and easy to install. The only problem is that you can't use them if the is a deep frost.

I bought one very similar to THESE There are different types so you may have to research them. I would not pay £85 for the contech one - I paid about £40 for a similar model - it's really effective but not worth more than £40. The prices seem to fluctuate a lot for some weird reason.

You can position them any way you want so that they only activate when a dog actually comes onto your land.

I have this problem as well & it sodding enrages me , I have been tempted to egg the twats !

What makes it worse is the people who let their dogs do it , complained to the council about cars parking on the grass verge so bollards got put up .
Yet they are their everyday letting their dogs shit on the grass right outside my house .

The one time I caught some old lady about to walk away without clearing it up so I asked her if she would clean if up & she said no as its public property Shock

I went bat shit crazy at her as I was fed up of it Blush

Obviously I didn't leave a decent enough impression as she is still doing the same every day !

I live in an area with loads of open front gardens and lots of dogs. Some gardens have "please pick up after your dog" signs with poo bags or carrier bags attached to them. Seems to work as I never see any poo around. Then again I live in Texas and I believe it's legal to shoot trespassers under certain conditions. Not suggesting this of course but would be a very definite solution

When you have CCTV up and get pictures of the lazy, inconsiderate owners, print out photos and stick them up outside your house with a warning that shitty owners will be publicly shamed.

As a dog owner I am livid about this on your behalf. How bloody disgusting. I would never let my dog do that and of course I clean up after my dog wherever she does go. Yanbu.

We have the same problem (ish).

I live on a street which is completely paved...except for one strip of grass, about 6 feet wide and 30 feet long, right outside my house.

People walking their dogs make a beeline for this grass to let them go to the toilet there. Only some is picked up.

It's disgusting.

We're having the same problem. .I get so pissed off with dog owners who couldn't give a fuck about letting their dogs poo on your path or garden. Id love to catch them, but can't sit at the window 24hrs a day! Iv tried putting ground pepper down, only thing is you have to keep putting it down if it rains, it worked a bit tho. Also vinegar. Dog poo is full of nasties that can cause all sorts of illnesses in children. .makes me so angry that people can be so lazy and disrespectful.love to land it back on their own fucking doorstep. .grrr (rant over) :-)

Fox poo is quite different from dog poo, snickers - it has bits of bone or feathers in - whatever the fox has been eating - and a thin spiral at one end. Google it! Badger poo often has berries etc in.

No poo is as offensive as dog poo. IMO!

You can get lion poo pellets, Bump, to deter animals from pooing in your garden. Don't know if they'd work in our front garden - it's just grass, no borders.

Ooh, CCTV?? There's an idea.

God. What kind of lazy twat would let their dog do this? There's a poo bin in the park about 50 yards away. Gah.

Urgh I feel your pain, my next door neighbour has a tiny dog which pisses all over my newly planted rose bush (which is now withering away), and all the local cats poo all over my front and back garden.

I'm going to watch this thread with interest to see what tips are given to repel the little buggers.

In having the same effin' problem

Though without installing some cameras I can't actually prove it's not just foxes but I'm definitely turning into a curtain twitching spy over it Hmm

I had googled something about a dog repellant spray but you have to respray after it rains?? Doubt it be much good
