...be a mum, and not ever intend to be a mum, and yet still love Mumsnet??

I've lurked for a few weeks, and I love it here!

Is that ok with you guys?

I am a mum. I stay here so I don't have to talk about parenting stuff, or my children.

It's nice to be a person.

Oh good, I've always been wary of my child free status and thought I would get run off mumsnet if it were discovered.

To be fair some of the things I read on here put me further and further off from having kids - some examples - competive parenting, the school gate mums (sounds hideous), party etiquette and most importantly the increase in stress levels when MILs become grandmothers, as I know this would happen to me!

I'm quite happy living life through anonymous women's child experiences and taking part in the mad threads on here :)

Another one who is childfree - all grown up now - but love it here (mostly) for all the total randomness!

And, do come over & join us ecig smokers & vapers!

I am childless by choice and a step mum. And do love it here.

Ladies, we are not childless but Childfree.
Childless makes us sound like we should be pitied.

Another who doesn't have children and doesn't want to be a parent. Totally addicted to MN and grateful for the support you get on here.

It isn't really just a parenting site, there are so many discussions going on at any one time that even a google search will draw someone in when they google a particular topic/issue.

Tis why I love MN. Thousands of people all discussing massive issues, minor issues, parenting issues etc.

Love it

Oh my word, I wandered off for 10 minutes and here you all are! Hello!

Yes, that was my first post. I've been lurking for a few weeks and have just been enjoying the chat.

'Mum' issues aside, I agree that have such a diverse female corner of the internet can only be a good thing.

A;so - shout out to the ladies on the AIBU e-cig threads: fecking inspirational.

I joined the day I came back from honeymoon, looking for advice about TTC. That plan got put on hold for health reasons but I stayed because I find some of the threads hilarious and a lot of them really informative Smile

I'm not a mum but I came here for the TTC and IVF support, but stayed for the bitching!
I love that there is a female centric corner of the net.
