At Domino's yesterday.

Three medium pizzas, £46 they wanted! Shock That's with us picking up - not delivered.

DH ordered them over the phone, got off the phone, looked at me strangely, rang them back, queried the price, and cancelled the order.

3 bits of flat dough, a smear of tomato paste and a few bits of veg served in cardboard boxes. Delicious - but ... sorry i'm going to say it again ... £46???

If you order online go to the deals section there's always a deal. Most we ever pay for three large pizzas is £31.

Feeling smug tonight! Bought 2 pepperoni pizzas from Coop for £1.50 each (half price offer). Put a bit of ham and
sweetcorn on them and they were cooked in 10 mins. Lovely! Dominoes are overpriced and IME not great.

We ordered their stuff once and it was absolutely fucking horrible. Cold, soggy, bare of toppings and the cheese dry and powdery. Never again. Bleeeeurgh.

Oh I love a good Dominoes. I'm a really fussy bastard (think Sheldon from Big Bang Theory Grin) so their pick your own pizzas really appeal to me, especially since they have the option to have no cheese.

But I'd never buy it without a voucher code or two for Tuesday's. It is definitely overpriced, they must make a lot of profit.

my local dominoes is 10 mins away and last time I ordered it they took 4 hours to deliver it. Somehow the pizza guy managed to get lost even though it's literally one really long road! Pizza was stone cold and chewy by the time it actually arrived as well, £30 wasted

Whistleblower, thats how I catered an emergency kids party back in Feb. Into costco and spent £100 on big pizzas, mozzarella sticks, crisps, huge carrot cake that doubled as a birthday cake, some cordial and tat and sugary crap for party bags. Stuck youtube on the big tv, dh wired up some microphones and we had karaoke. Best party ever and cost peanuts. :o bloody love costco.

Pizza is pretty rank unless it is from a nice authentic Italian place or actually Italy itself. I always find them sweet and glutenous. Horrid.

Peggy I nearly wet myself at your Pizza Hut story Grin Can you imagine the conversation he'll have to have to explain to the hungry people back home why he's returned sans pizza. Grin Grin

And I'm boycotting dominos (not that they will notice)

I live in a little village full of mainly independent shops and they have opened a dominos!!!

We used to love asda pizza, it's gone a bit downhill

Used to be masses of toppings with cheese on top, now there is no extra cheese and they haven't got as many toppings.

And it really winds me up when you ask for mushrooms and they say sorry we have run out!!!!! It's fucking asda, there are millions of them in the produce department !!!!!!

No delivery here either :(

No Pizza Hut nearby - just the Dominos, about 7 miles away. Rural.

I buy my dough but do the rest myself, far cheaper.
I do occasionally get a takeaway pizza, but it's £9 for a large one which DD and I share, and that's usually because I'm unwell.

to me, ordering pizza without a discount code sounds the height of decadence

EddieVeddersfoxymop · 11/11/2013 20:04

I'd love to have a takeaway delivered, it's not the same when DH goes out to get something and stinks out the car in the process.

First world problem anyone? Grin

Make your own pizza dough in the bread machine. Shape it and freeze it on a tray, then wrap in clingy and then in foil. Instant pizza that taste much better than shop bought.

That's our situation too, Eddie. We live in the sticks too, no takeaway delivery round here.
