I don't understand.

Are we all middle-class harridans with kids called Tarquin or benefits scroungers? Because according to the 'comments' on the Fail link we're 'all' one or the other Confused.

I am so considering a Joanne Baxter related name change

I have never read anything quite so middle class as this

'One post names a lavatory cubicle at the National Portrait Gallery, a punt in Cambridge and Hadrian's Wall as some of the "weirdest" places people have made love'

Shocking. Absolutely shocking.

It seems that mothers on the whole think that sex is a normal part of life.

Last comment of the daily mail article - hmm yes - where do they think the babies come from?

Re getting felt tip of the walks.

Have a knee trembler up against the offending wall after hours. The pen comes straight off on to your arse.

For several days however you will have a pleasing reversed print of a cat though.

My DH loves you all. I sit there laughing at the humour on here and he likes the fact that I am happy. I read some of them out and whilst he occasionally cringes he is blown away by the wit and support and passion on here.

I luffs MN.

We're not meant to be having sex?

well, fuck me

It is mostly men who seem to hate MN so much, isn't it? With real venom I mean.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. It seems to me that the only type of man who would hate a place where they believe women are supported to escape abusive men and crappy relationships is the type of man who has something personally to fear from the type of place that supports women to escape abusive men and crappy relationships...

Presumably we all only ever have one child (or multiples) because once we become mothers sex is taboo.

This was my favourite comment and response. I cried with laughter when I read it this morning........ Grin

If Joanna Baxter really thinks that Mumsnet is not a place where sex lives are discussed, then she is most certainly NOT a 'regular'.

And probably never been to Centre Parcs either...

I am horrified to discover that MN has a 'wholesome image'. Been hanging around here for a while and have come across precious little evidence to support this claim...

Oh oh i have an AIBU

AIBU to love mumsnet even more if the Daily Fail hate us?

Report
JerseySpud · 23/10/2013 10:36

Ah yes because don't forget ladies once you are married/have babies/on benefits that you are not allowed to talk about sex, drugs, alcohol, men in any way what so ever.

Cos...you know. We got no rights innit.

Oh dear, looks like MN may have joined the Mail's ever-growing list of hate objects. Too many posts on here disrespecting them for Dacre to tolerate.

I commented on the Telegraph one and was told to get stuffed.

So apparently 13 year olds read the Telegraph.

Have they even seen the sporner threads? Then they'd have something to be horrified about!

FWiW. Do and other papers, I'm not sure what they told you about parenthood, or just life in general (regarding is non parents here) but it usually involves sec. Sorry you don't seem to be getting any.
