My mum And. I went to find my grandmas grave. We spent hour upon hour looking and gave up. When we reached the gates of the cemetery we were locked in! It was getting dark and we were really scared ! Having my two kids ages 2 and 4. We called the police who called the cemetery guard. They got us out at that point it wa nearly dark. Being determined to find my grandma we went back a
Couple of weeks later , walking around checking each grave one by one. My kids were running around all over the graves and I was getting a bit angry Thinking this was naughty and disrespectful , at this point of calling them
And telling th to stop and come here , my 2 year old just froze and wouldn't move , I was baffled and thought she was just being stubborn , calling and calling her she just would not budge ! I walked over to her and picked her up form the grave she was standing on , when I looked down she was standing ony grandmas grave . To This day I still believed grandma called her .......

I have one. have n/c because I've only told a few people about this and it'll out me.

As a teenager, I used to keep my horse at a yard which was owned by a local farming family, who had been in the area for hundreds of years. They had this quite unusually long, low old barn full of looseboxes- the sort where you have your half door, but the partitions between are just slats. Really, really ancient- we hated them

An old laborers cottage was right beside the barn, and they knocked the wall through and turned this into a tack room/sitting room. We all had t was an unwritten rule that whoever opened up the stables and tack room put the radio on straight away, and it was only turned off when the last person left

I bought my horse very cheaply, as she was half wild and very badly schooled, so for quite a few months I went to the yard very early every morning, so I could have the indoor arena all to myself to school her.

One morning, I brought her in, stuck her in the stables, and went up to get my grooming box. I had turned the radio on earlier, and as I hunted about bitching at the other girls for pinching my hoof pick the radio switched off. Next thing, I heard somebody else bringing their horse into the barn, further down- it was a very distinctive sound because of the lay out of the barn, and you couldn't mistake it. I was surprised, because it was so early. Went out of the tack room and into the barn- nobody there.

I look in on my horse, and she is pushed against the back of the box, freaking out, ears back, covered in sweat, shaking, stamping. By this point I am thinking WTF.

I go in and start stroking her to calm her down, when I hear this thick, gurgling, rustling, pulling noise further down. I can't even describe it. I look through the slats between the boxes, and I can see a dark shape in the next box but one- but it was flickering in and out of focus, as if someone was stepping to one side then back again.

I freak out, grab my horse, lead her out really quickly and take her to the indoor arena, let her wander round while I sit on the sand trying to calm down. Took her back into the field after a while, didn't ride that day

Years later I was looking through the local historical society annual newsletter, and I found this old newspaper account they'd copied.

It was about a man, the son of the farmer (the name of the farm and the families surname has always been the same) who had gone away on a trip to town one week in the 1850's. nobody knew what he was there for, and he was away longer than expected, and when he came back, he spoke to nobody- only a few of the farm labourers spotted him coming through the yard.

He took his horse into the barn, stabled it, went into the box beside it, and hung himself.

I couldn't find out anymore about it- I think they just put him down as 'temporarily unsound of mind'

but there you go. Sorry it;'s so long :)

I've never really noticed the time myself. I know that I've always seen him in the daytime, never in the dark... though I suppose if I was in a brightly lit house looking out into the dark, I wouldn't see a person anyway, if that makes sense?

My gran has seen him the most, having lived there for nearly 50 years, I should ask her if he shows up more at certain times. She's quite affectionate towards him! She's given him the nickname "Frank", and is quite fond of his presence! She says "Frank is coming to visit" when she sees him walking up the drive. She has tried speaking to him on the odd occasion that she is in the back garden when he walks around the house, but says he has never seemed to notice her there. She also leaves the door open for him in nice weather to see if he'll ever make it inside the house. She tells us that after nearly half a century of visits from Frank, she is sure that he is in a completely different world to the rest of us, and doesn't realise that we are there.

My cousins tried to photograph him when we were younger. It doesn't take him long to take his walk when he does appear, so you've probably only got thirty seconds to grab a camera or start the film camera on your phone, and that's if you've spotted him from the bottom of the driveway. More often than not, we see him from the kitchen, right before he disappears, so no time at all. His footsteps make no sound either, so there's no hint he's coming until you see him.

So yeah, I'm afraid that if you are going to visit my granny and grandad, you'll be hanging around the driveway quite a while to see anything! My gran will likely bring you a cup of tea and some biscuits though, to pass the time!

It was the screaming in that video I didn't like - I was irrationally shouting at the screen for the security guard not to go in the room!

OK PM me your address I'll wait to see him and ask him lots of questions

Freya is it always at the same time? Hasn't anyone ever tried to photograph/film him? What would happen if one of you darted out and tried to meet him on his way round? I couldn't just leave it!

My gran and grandad's driveway is "haunted", which is a bit weird to say!

They have a long driveway which goes up by the side of their house. There's a middle-aged, ordinary-looking man in a jacket and trousers wearing an old-fashioned cap hat who walks up the driveway, past the kitchen window, then round the path to the back of the house. When he reaches the back door, he turns, as if to go inside, and then vanishes.

We're all very pragmatic in my family, no "woo" amongst us, despite this, so we're all highly practical about the situation! Sometimes one of us will be washing up at my gran's kitchen sink, and he'll go by the window, and you say, "Oop, there goes The Man!" The first time I saw him, I was still a child, and it really freaked me out, but the whole family have seen him so many times now, it doesn't really seem to signify anymore. I prefer the idea that some kind of weird phenomena has left an energy imprint or something a bit more sciency-sounding behind.

Has anyone ever read about Tulpa? Its a story of someone who was involved in an experiment to almost 'bring on' schizophrenia. It scared me shitless for ages.

I went backpacking in the early nineties , beforehand, I went shopping and bought a fabulous scarf which I took with me. One day whilst driving, I noticed that my scarf had fallen out of my hair and was lost somewhere on the previous 30 miles of road. My friend and I commented frequently, throughout the following years travels ... 'that scarf would have gone lovely with that outfit ' yada yada yada ....
A year later I returned home in the October - it was cold and I immediately dug out my winter stuff I'd left behind.
Upon opening the suitcase lying on top was the scarf I'd lost whilst on holiday. I was freaked out - I'd bought it especially to take with me so there was no way I wouldn't of packed it. I remember wearing it a few times before it was lost - so did my friend...
I did manage to lose it again on my next holiday though - it ended up somewhere in Ibiza.
