AIBU?

to think that Springwatch is a lesson in how to be a good lil' lady?

Seriously, I love the concept, love the wildlife, but why does it have to be fronted by a monumental ego? First Bill Oddie as the Alpha male with Kate Humble, and then she was simpering all over Chris Packham doing the same "I know everything" vibe. Now we have the Springwatch team with the Kate replacement Michaela Strachen (who is ever so much more conveniently subservient to the clearly vastly superior knowledge Hmm of the men).

We recorded the episode tonight to watch with DD whilst eating roast dinner, then kept pausing in fury to ask DD whether she thought it was fair that Michaela was talking about something, but that she had to stop and shuffle into the corner to accomodate Chris and his vastly spread legs taking up all the space?? Hmm

He sat there holding the floor whilst she cowered in the corner grinning inanely at his every utterance, whereas when she (and the other emasculated presenter) just sort of giggle approvingly at him. No wonder Kate Humble when on to do more even-handed stuff. Hmm

I love Springwatch! At least I love all the birdies and animals and the very cute Martin Hughes-Games.

I didn't even notice Chris taking up most of the sofa.
