I hate noisy eaters too. I would of turned and also asked if she was okay? Then if that didn't work, when I left I would of taken her a napkin and set it beside her...

My DP is a noisy eater too... GULPS when he drinks anything, loudly sucks on every finger...I guess I should be happy he sticks his tongue out to catch any of his mess before the fork goes in! GROSSSS

I'm the type of person to say something... I don't beat around the bush. I don't allow my children to be rude, so I won't let you get away with it if I can help it either!

This post has made me laugh and shudder!
Even my DSs know that eating with your mouth open and making nom nom noises is gross.

My dad always blows his nose really massively after about five mouthfuls of hot food. At the table. In front of everyone else eating. Over his plate.

Try getting through the rest of your macaroni cheese after that.

LaGuardia Grin what frumpet said.

Of course it was not done to piss me off, and of course I turned around to look at her. I thought a cow had just sat down for a chomp on a fry up.

Ex mil had really badly fitting dentures, there used to be a fight not to sit next to her when the family went out for dinner.
slurp clack clack clack whistle, slurp, smack clack click.

My BIL once looked across at her and said " I,ll name that tune in four" brilliant. he's the only member of that family that I miss.

I hate loud eaters!

Main reason why I never ever go to the cinema. The crunching and slurping would make me so mad I'd storm out in a huff lol.

The woman across from me in work drinks her tea with the spoon still in the bloody cup - that also makes me v stabby Angry

Very true laGuardia , OR she may of been one of the countless millions who simply cannot eat without doing farmyard impressions at the same time .

OP, did you have a look at the woman to see if she was disabled? Perhaps she was recovering from a facial injury, or surgery? Maybe she had been to the dentist and was trying to get some food down with a numb mouth before getting back to work. Perhaps she had new dental braces. Whatever the reason for her noisy eating, I am certain it wasn't done just to piss you off.

My sister hums to herself when opresented with food (especially particularly yummy stuff). She does a little shoulder shimmy too. I'm sure she doesn't know (yet). She's approaching 50.

Once a the woman next to me on the bus ate a box of chicken. She crunched the bones and sluuuuurped. Then she ate an apple. All of it, core included.

My dad grumbles and grizzles like a grizzly bear when he eats. GRRRRR!! Grrrrrr...grrrr.....GRR! Homnomnomnom..grrrr...nomnomnom...
It's embarrassing. People stare, and none of us can look one another in the eye, for fear of laughter.
He has no idea he's doing it.

Ohh that made my skin craw.. YANBU.... The other thing that annoys me and makes me feel sick is people who eat with their mouths open or people who talk with their mouths full.... Gross!

Haate it. It borders on a phobia for me. Punching is far too mild.

Not the same...but sort of...

Went to a gig last night, and in my usual fashion stayed to the edge at the side so I could see. Three young lassies behind me...maybe 17/18? One was pressed right into my back and sang along utterly tunlessly at top volume throughout.

She was really gripping my shit and distracting me from the actual singer. I tried to tell myself not to be such a miserable hag, and that it's ok to sing at a gig....but honestly...they're not really a sing along sort of band...no one else was singing...we were all there to listen.

Elbowed her in the tit a couple of times but she never noticed.

Someone on the bus today was eating cake with sticky icing.

Every time she picked it up, took a tiny bite, and sucked all five fingers one after the other, slurp slurp slurp slurp slurp. And then began again.

I wanted to bloody murder her.

Ugh ugh UGH.. I HATE it!

My ex did it too, and shovelled food into his gob so no wonder!
I said something when the rose tinted earplugs fell out a couple of times, but he still did it! After a year he just got looks, and would say I was controlling. Well IF YOU JUST ATE WITH YOUR FUCKING MOUTH SHUT.

Sigh...

Talismanic I actually cringed reading your impression! Grin
