no it's not the end of the world everlong but we're allowed to post about stuff that isn't the end of the world.

life doesn't always have to be serious.

however, i do agree with ChippinIn - pedants' corner is the place for this.
(i can't believe i didn't actually notice it wasn't there!)

cba with caps as dd asleep and have only one hand free.

I love finding typos and really get into a rant about incorrect spelling. Latest one I had to comment on was in the local rag "According to reports in the national media toady Chancellor George Osborne will announce plans." I hope they meant today. I despair at some of the spelling on Facebook too. One friend posts "drinking a loverly larger." Hmm I totally agree Magrat should of, etc pisses me off too.

Haha! It's one of my pet hates on FB. But not everyone is great with spellings.

I don't believe it is dyslexia either. The girl I quoted writes normally for a living!

The people I know with dyslexia don't routinely spell words incorrectly on facebook anyway. You wouldn't even know they had it. My sister has it and you can only tell by her handwriting.

The mistake that does my head in at the moment is "musn't of", "could of", "should of" and others like it...

THE WORD YOU ARE LOOKING FOR IS "HAVE". HAVEHAVEHAVE!!!! Angry

OP, have you checked yourself out for fleas if you're getting itchy?

I've got a few friends who do this, drives me bonkers it's laziness with them they're great lassies but i try not to read too many of their statuseseses Wink

My spelling is alright most of the time but my grammar is terrible. Plus my fat pregnant fingers do typos on my phone aaaall the time it's very annoying.

My mum is dyslexic and she only muddles certain letters rather than full sentences of text speak/lazy typing.

My best friend is the worst, I constantly wind her up about it but it was rather hilarious the other day when she put on her facebook "I carnt beleave my little girl is so cleaver I am so proad of her"
I just replied I hope she can spell better than her mum then!!

She is an intelligent woman that does a very important job too, I have no idea what they make of it at work! And she isn't dyslexic either!

You see it's got me again - pedants

iPhone keyboard, autocorrect, stupid little text boxes, rushing and being dyslexic are a truly awful combination as all the presents who know doubt want to hide Startail's posts already know.

Please do not judge we do not do it to annoy, we wish MNHQ would let us have a five min edit.

There is, however a special place in hell for people with modern phones which predictive text, who still write g8 and 2day etc.

My cousin is like this. It is laziness and trying to be trendy and down with the kids I think. Nothing whatsoever to do with dyslexia.

Lazy typists are completely different from someone who is dyslexic.

No one can say gawjus is the result of anything other than the typist being a twat.

I second the iPad/iPhone autocorrect theory. It randomly changes correctly spelt words into something completely different, drives me loopy!

Just seen this on facebook -

"We done are's & the kids have"

this was a reply to someone betting on the national later!

People who say 'itchy' get on my tits much more than people who make spelling mistakes.
