  • Do you lose time off work due to AIBU cos you just wanna sit on the sofa and read about cake punching?
  • Is your AIBU making your home life unhappy as everyone keeps telling you to LTB
  • have you ever felt remorse after posting on AIBU?
  • do you regularly have posts deleted by MNHQ?
  • do you pry on the seemingly stupid posters when on AIBU and constantly give [no comment]?
  • do you not give a toss about the family meals/washing etc. cos you're on AIBU?
  • is your ambition to post meaningless threads just to get 1000 posts?
  • do you crave AIBU at the same time daily?
  • do you still want to go on AIBU the next morning to see what happened with LemonDrizzleCake?
  • do you lose sleep from being on AIBU?
  • is it jeopardising your job cos you keep sneaking on and not just at lunchtime?
  • do you forget which threads you've posted on?
  • are you tempted to go on Netmums (be honest?)

If so, you may have a problem. Errrrr, so might i!

I have to ask him Chasing, and he does it under faux-duress Grin

I don't ask often - before it looks like I'm suggesting I have dirty laundry that needs a public airing Grin

Could you not have shaved her little head bare instead?

(Thank god I'm not a parent Grin)

Does he ever "Hello, Dave" when you're not expecting it?

Because I believe that may be solid grounds for a divorce Grin

DD2 (and DD1 now I come to think of it) went through a natural mullet hair phase when she was 18 months/2 Yrs old.

I tried in vain to rationalise my shame.

ComposHat is surrounded by 60's hair cuts. That may even be worse than local studies, for local people, in Royston Vasey.

I find 60's hair styles bother me.

80's were worse. Mullets, you know.

DH does an excellent 'Hello, Dave?' Grin

I think the things that make me love the grotesque LoG (including Madame Palm and her five lovely daughters) are similar to the things that keep me coming back to MN.

Uncomfortable entertainment you know full well shouldn't entertain.

No its Port Merrion and my life is a re-run of the tv series 'The Prisoner'!

It fills the void that FB has left.

'I'm doing a PhD in a strange town'

I'm quite intrigued as to what kind of PhD you'd do in Royston Vasey.

Report
ComposHat · 31/03/2013 02:04

I know, it is strangely addictive...I'm not even a mum or indeed a woman.

I tend to avoid parenting/newborn threads, but the majority of threads aren't about children at all.

I'm doing a PhD in a strange town and as I tend to work alone and I miss work place interaction. AIBU fills the void perfectly.

YANBU. Because if YABU, so am I [bugrin]

YANBU

But you may come across 1 or 2 very odd people who will make it their business to tell you that you should use 'Active convos' and not stick to one topic.

You may be accused of 'hanging around' in a topic < No I'm not sure how that works either, given it's a web forum and not a real building > And god forbid you should be a touch typist and answer an OP quickly.

But as long as you adopt the smile and head tilt technique, you'll survive [bugrin] [buwink]

I read more than I post so wouldn't say I was addicted as such, but some threads are compelling, even if it's in a bit of a car crash way.
