AIBU?

To think Sky Plus Planner should ask if you are sure you want to delete?

Just deleted 'Robson Green's Extreme Fishing'. DH and the DC are going to be really cross.
It should say are you sure before it does it. Sad

Sparkling I hate don't mess with the zohan. DH has recorded it, and watches it just to annoy me. What's worse is we went to the cinema to see it when it first came out, so I paid a stupid amount of money to see it Sad

Glad to be of help to all those who didn't know about the deleted section on the planner. I only found it by accident! I'm geekster by the way I name changed.

My box gets sticky if it dips below 28 per cent and things won't play.

I'm currently on 35 per cent and have Boardwalk Empire and Curb Your Enthusiasm set to record tonight. I've seen them before but I'm sad.

The saddest thing is recording a programme called Royal Pains on Universal at 8am tomorrow that will take me into the danger zone if I don't get off here and watch Hannibal and Banshee (both a bit shit).

It's about a brilliant and heroic doctor who relocates to the Hamptons and manages to find poor people to treat for nothing amongst the gazillionaires.

It's all aerial shots of huge houses and Lamborghinis between the scenes of very bad acting.

It's worse in our house. If we get below 5% the flipping box deletes stuff itself with no input from us!

Mine does this, and we have no delete folder. What's worse is it deletes anything that says 'viewed' which is a real pain when you've half watched something, the dc have set to record some crap, and your programme disappears into the never never Angry

No ETTC annoyed me because no bugger ever bought any of the houses. Then the well known property expert Aled Jones appeared and it was too Confused

Do you record Escape To The Country too?

I confess I used to record Homes Under The Hammer so I could fastforward the repetitive bits and the shots of the estate agents' feet trudging up to the front door, but I've been clean for over a year now.

Who watches Countryfile in the first place, let alone records it and saves it?

mikkii LTB. No one will blame you.

We have a terabyte virgin box and it hovers around 8% free due to the kids recording crap (10 episodes of Peppa pig a day?) and DH hoarding 22 episodes of countryfile a whole series of coast and other wired stuff.

I just clear the kids stuff on a daily basis and purge the box when I go away. Virgin has a recently deleted folder beneath the other folders.

up to 62%

we have had sky for years and I never knew we had a deleted items folder! Am going through it now in case there is something we need to save

I do the Scream face when I get the message about having to choose which programme to delete because I'm trying to record three programmes at once and the system can't cope.

That might be because I've got an old box too. Wink

Thanks geekster for the tip. Accidentally deleted last two EPs of True Blood the other day. I don't care for it but my husband just sat on the sofa, his eyebrow twitching with rage. So, cheers, no legal fees for the foreseeable future.

When the 'to record this programme you need to choose one to delete' comes up I run around looking like this. Grin

This is the exact reason there is the option to "KEEP" - if you press the blue to keep it you cant delete without using the pin number!!

My Ds puts all his stuff on keep!! I usually have a mad deleting spree when he is in bed and then act all vague if he notices.

14% you say Sparkling? I have to poke the dcs to remove their shit programmes as mine seems to be permanently at 2% Shock

Re the new box envy Grin, try calling sky and telling them you are leaving as the box is knanckered and you can't afford a new one... I didn't pay for my upgraded box last year Wink
