AIBU?

This is DEFINITELY grounds for divorce, isn't it?

Whilst having a laughing conversation with my DH (and moving a bookcase) with him moaning about me nagging him into doing stuff, he had the cheek to say to me 'You're a nasty old woman'.

Shock.

Please tell me I have grounds to LTB! I am NOT nasty. OR old. How very dare he!

My boyfriend called me a rabid dog once. He will never be allowed to live it down Grin

Fox Shock I hope he has been suitably grovelling for that! The cheeky fecker.

Your jowly, swinging tummy! Shock. What a dreadful thing to say!

A friend of mine (who's fairly trim, actually) once asked her DH, 'Does this outfit make me look fat?' and got the reply, 'It's no' the outfit that makes you look fat, hen. It's your great big arse and your saggy belly that does that'.....

My DH recently told me I reminded him of a cat....

When I made the mistake of enquiring why, he said it was my big jowly, swinging tummy that did it! Shock

I am a size 12!

Sign him up for SAGA holidays and then tell him You're not old enough!

I signed dp up for free basket weaving lessons that were being offered for the over 50's

I'm 45 too and DH gets thumped for calling me old girl.

I'm not old and, technically as I was 19 when we first met, he's never been correct with the girl either.

LOL @ apostropheuse. What a fab idea! No, he is too uncool to be hip with the kids and tell me I am 'wicked'.

I was being a 'nasty, old woman' for making him get off his backside and shift a bookcase with me, apparently. I was cruel and unkind for needing him to help me when he could have been snoring on the sofa.......

(Although he had had a long day at work. But I needed to shift the bookcase so that I could paint behind it, so I had to get him to help).

Tonight he came in and said, 'How's your day been, my wee darling?' so in true man fashion he has clearly forgotten that I was nasty to him last night! Grin

I've had further thoughts on the matter.

Is he calling you nasty as in not nice, unpleasant etc.?

or alternatively...

Is it a compliment?. Maybe it's a cool way of saying you are wonderful! You say the opposite word to what you mean!

Just like the young people do. (If you can remember that far back!

Many an OP has had a good roasting for calling some random an 'old woman', even if it is factual.

YANBU, LTB!! Grin

Term of endearment, OP. Unless the cap actually fits ....

Be thankful he feels so secure with you that he can get away with it.

Thanks for the midnight laugh.

Pom I like your style! Just for Men and Grecian 2000 will be of sod all use to the bald old git, but they may just mock him for what he has lost.

I am planning evil revenge for his cruel and cutting words....

(I may not LTB, actually, as it might make him happy to lose such a 'nasty old woman'. I may stay forever and make him sorry he said it instead).

YANBU then if you're only 45. Definite grounds for divorce.

He really should have called you a middle aged woman.

Fact.
