I don't mind when other people have theirs. Each to their own.

Exactly. And that's how it should be.

we usually put ours up the Saturday before Christmas day and have a party that evening. It kicks off Chistmas for me. I don't mind when other people have theirs. Each to their own.

Just nearly sprayed coffee over my laptop at 'is my christmas tree blocking your drive?' *youoldslag' you've brightened up my morning... I may even put my christmas tree up now in your honour.

Ours went up this weekend and I couldn't give a flying shiny, Christmassy shit if it bothers anyone.

Why on earth do people get upset by a Christmas tree in November? Does it hurt people? Is it noisy? Am I asking people to pay for it? Is my Christmas Tree blocking your drive?

It's late November and I have two small children who love it. I remain unapologetic.

I would also like to say thank you to the people who are tolerant and say "do Christmas however you like".That's the spirit! How other people celebrate or don't celebrate Christmas causes me no bother at all, and my Christmas shouldn't bother them either.

I've had my share of lonely, skint and depressed Christmases. My DH has had Depression and only recently got a job after a long period of unemployment. We have two children who make it all magical and it's our time now. It's cheered us all up and helped us look back with relief that a bad couple of years is over.

Happy Christmas!

12 days of Christmas start Christmas Eve, end twelfth night, not as some folk think 12 days before the day.

Ours is going up this weekend - we always put it up the first weekend in December and take everything down on NYD ready for DS1's birthday on the 2nd.

Gosh, really hope the poster who encourages her children to shout chav as people have put up their tree, is joking.

We have had a terrible year after nearly loosing dd in an accident.

She wants the tree up this weekend to cheer her up and so we have.

Ours goes up first weekend in December and down first weekend in January.

If you want yours up now, why not? It is your tree and your Christmas, it doesn't matter, make yourself happy.

Amused that putting your decorations up too early is 'chavvy'.. I'm amazed at how much constitutes towards being chavvy according to some on here.

I put mine up either 30 nov or 1st dec but I would happily have them up all year round if I was allowed. They make me so happy! The room is bare without.

Law in this house and I think all houses is that Christmas decorations can go up in December and not before. Had this very conversation with dd's today and I said its the law of Mummy.

I'm tempted to write 'WHY' on postcards and post them through letter boxes of houses who already have their decorations up. I wouldn't of course but very tempted.

Christmas trees should go up mid Dec and stay up til 6th January.

Is that the law then?

I want to put ours up too but we're having a party next weekend and need to wait until afterwards. Going to hold out until dec 1st, after that every weekend is busy.., perfect excuse!

Christmas shopping today though!

I think we're going to do ours on Wednesday - we're off to see family abroad for Christmas in a couple of weeks so if we don't do it soon I'll have no time to appreciate it. Go for it!

Jingle bells is a winter song though, no references to Christmas!

I usually put ours up on the 1st week in December - I love Christmas! However this year I was given a due date of Dec 25th for dc 5 and knew that it'd be at least a couple of weeks earlier than that due to complications.

My consultant has just moved c section date to this coming Friday 30th ( nearly a month early) so I will be out of action for a few weeks, it has to be done this weekend, I don't care if it's a bit early - its literally my favourite time of the year and will be even more special this year with a 3 week old lo to cuddle :)

Do whatever makes you happy and to hell with what people think.

Ours goes up the 2nd weekend in December.
