AIBU - Baby names

Ok i am stuck. Due another baby boy (well the wife is) at end of Jan.
We have ran out of baby boy names.

I like Tristan, Charles (charlie)
Wife likes Luke, Lucas, Nathaniel, Lawrence (i think all her choices sound old and boring)
My son aged 3 likes Eligat (not elliot but elligot)

So who is BU and what names do you all suggest? Advice seriously needed.

We have an Ellis and a Jasper. We also have an Archie.Names on my list were Toby,Henry,Monty,Hamish and woody.
I have noticed that people often name their dogs with names that I chose.I have a theory that they did not have guts to call their children it so their pets got it instead:o

Don't pick Luca or Lucas. There are 5 in our very small school, 3 in one class!

How about Jonah?

Max is the best boys name IMHO. It suits a skinny little chap (like my DS) or a 20 stone rugby player.
Baby to old man.

He is Max on his birth cert. I sometimes call him Maxwell or Maxamillion (to wind him up) but never Maxey .

Malaci is lovely.
And there's an Irish name Oisen (sp) but I don't know how it's pronounced. But I bet it's lovely.

Going from your film theme

Harry - Harry Potter
Jack - Pirates of the Carribean
Jason - Bourne series
Logan is a great name - X-Men

We are pg as well and are really struggling with both lots of names. I love love love Jasper - DP hates it :(

I'd adjust your son's choice to Ellis. :)

I met a grown up Ellis in a bar owned by family a few years ago. They knew him well as a generous, kind, intelligent member of the community who was known for his ability to give an educated comment when the need arose.

He introduced himself to me in a beautifully well spoken tone ...

"Hello. I'm Ellis. I'm... hmm... I'm rather an acquired taste!".

I like him from that moment on and so my fondness for the name began.

Colken, I don't think anyone would think Eligat had any particular sex connotations - it's not as if there's 20 other Eligat's in the school all of them girls!

I like Luke too, but another biased one here lol! I do prefer your wife's choices tbh.

Go with the XMen theme: Xavier, Henry (Hank), Peter, Scott, Robert (Bobby)...

Can't I am afraid. It would quickly out me. Think of how Albert or George or Stanley would have been received 8-10 years ago. Itwill come back in fashion, I know it. I am ahead of the curve. [gritted teeth]

Anyway, All of DS' names were family names.

If you named your son Nathaniel it would probably be shortened to Nathan (which I love btw as DS2 is called that :)) but I think that sounds too much like Ethan. I like the rest of your choices also like Travis which I think a PP suggested.

AutumnFalls come on then, don't leave us hanging, what's the name?
