All these programmes are hideous. Everyone should stop watching then this tosh would not steal prime time TV on every blumming channel in its various guises.

that's horrible - I've never watched it but assumed that it was like oppotunity knocks or something (ie actually good singers - not this). It really is exactly like the Victorian freak shows. Why are those who watch it watching it?

Horrible programme. There are so many non-showbizzy trained musicians I'd much rather see on TV but all we get is a short Prom season and Young Musician of the Year (even this now has interviews with the performers so is starting to be about "personality" as well as ability).

The freak show aspect of it seems so much worse now that it's in front of a live audience. I thought even the judges looked embarrassed to be part of that particular humiliation on Saturday. And rightly so.
