had a date, lovely day, really liked him. Really fancied him...had some quite steamy snogs...

Anyway. Got home, found I had a message from an old friend on the same site found date in saying, hey good to see you, fancy a drink some time?

To which I said yeah! Would be nice to catch up and have a chuckle about bumping into each other on a dating site.

Have just talked to today's date who has reacted really weirdly, saying, you are going on a date with another man.....Can't believe it etc ...after our lovely afternoon etc. In which we had agreed to just date each other for a bit.

AIBU to think this is a complete overreaction and rings massive alarm bells?

Or does he have a point?

Very interested in your views.

Indeedy. And I got the women speak two languages in response to my very lovely email saying I felt we really werent suited,

I got a bit MN on his ass and said indeed it was all about him, he was dull, aggressive, a crap shag, lived in another century and tight.

And then blocked him. Oh the joy!

well, in my defense, on the second date, he complained about having to buy me dinner (after I had travelled to oxford to meet him again) and then threatened to punch a taxi driver's lights out for having dared to "look at my tits" AHEM.

This on top of such cliched beauties as " I don't trust women" "women speak two languages, one verbal" I could go on for hours.

I did wonder which century we were in .

I made my excuses and left.

I think you have rung alarm bells with him......

He met you, he liked you and is now wondering if you are interested in this other guy.

He feels hurt!

Shame about the Italian. I did think he was right about old friend wanting a date.

Sorry it didn't work out.

Ah. He turned out to be a bit psycho.

What a surprise!

Oh, and old mate was cadging for a date. So wrong on both counts.

SO what happened with you and the Italian Stallion in the end?

No, no, no vomit involved. But I sort of snivelled. Bah!

Got an email today saying of course you can see whoever you want, but oldpal might think its a date.

So quite reasoned and measured.

whatsme, you missed out clearly on my last dating fiasco a few months ago where an admirer kept pouring double strength cocktails down me and then wondered why I got really pissed. I begged for food, tried to leave...it all ended horribly

Over the carpet? You do know how to pick 'em don't you :)

I'd get back to him in the cold light of day today to see if was a misunderstanding and meet again to see whether he is a good shag relationship material :o

This thread is cracking me up :)

I say meet with him again and clean your kitchen first Grin - otherwise you'll always wonder if he would have been a good shag or not! Best to try it and resolve the issue don't you think Grin

ah, thank you so much!

Though faintly feeling like chucking all sprats back into stream and retiring to hut for a restorative cup of tea.

You told him you logged on to hide your profile and replied to an old friend's PM. You do not even have to mention that to him.
He sounds like he believes what he wants to believe and that is it!
Lovely date guy isbvu!

I don't like the sounds of the "lovely date guy".
Nobody tells me what I can and cannot do, or accuses me of being dishonest or playing games. I mean, they may, but that will be the last they see of me.

I do not think you should be exclusive after one date either, and this is the reason why. One date and this guy is accusing you of things without listening to what you are telling him.
Keep fishing!

All this plundering of my drawers!

I wasn't exactly strewing broken glass in front of my chamber! I'm a bit of a simple soul, if I like them, I let them know, I don't believe in playing hard to get, if its something we both want, then that is cool. If it goes goes no further, no harm done. If it does, fabulous.

But I am too old, too tired, too busy to keep more than one more on the go at a time.

"I had a warning bell ringing when he called one of his last dates a "bitch"

Bluddy hell, I can hardly hear myself think for the clanging of the sodding bells.

Code red alarm: abandon shit - throw him overboard, jettison the fucker.

"I kind of let it go because of the language thing" There is no Italian word for 'bitch', and I'd love to be a fly on the wall when he tells his next date about his last date.

Whatever this guy may be, he ain't no gentleman - walk away, honey, and don't look back.
