The feminist section don't really like Cojones, unless they are for recreational purposes. Swinging your piss flaps Labia onto the feminist section might be the way forwards instead Grin

Having guffawed at the un PC bits carefully read this thread and made the odd contribution, I note no one has really had the cojones to go after the Feminist section yet until this page really (stir stir) :o

yes,the dogs are our superiors and dare not cast any aspersion upon canine cousins. so if child was bitten it must have asked for it.cue 700+ dog owners regale with tales of how the slobbering dog breastfeed the baby and is member of family

Well yes, Peasant, but equally:

OP: We've been invited to MIL's house for tea on our way back from Scotland. Trouble is, she has 4 rottweilers. dc1 is severely allergic and dc2 was savaged by a pitbull last year and now has a screaming phobia. I asked if dogs could be kept in the garden while we visited, and MIL said My House My Rules. AIBU or is she?

Dog-loving poster: YABU. The dogs are members of the family just as much as your dc. In fact more so, because it's their home. You wouldn't make your dc go and stand in the yard because a visitor didn't like them, would you? Tell dc2 to sort her head out and buy dc1 some Piriton.

Hmm, also all threads about bringing a dog to someone else's house.

OP: 'My MIL has broken both her legs and had a heart attack. She wants to know if we would mind keeping her dog locked up in our secure garden for an afternoon while FIL drives her to A&E, but I am afraid it might permanently traumatise PFB.'

45 other posters: Erm, well YABU, I'd help out in the circumstances. Sometimes you have to put yourself out a bit.

Nutty poster: YANBU!! What they think they are, your family! Dogs are not humans! You should take the dog and your MIL to be pts. How would you feel if the dog jimmied the back door lock, broke into your house and savaged your PFB, or even worse, gave him an allergy???

Love lots of this thread but my favourite bits so far are the references to that sodding Lundy Bancroft and the way everyone on MN ever is apparently in an abusive relationship if their DH so much as dares to be in the same room as them without asking first. Oh and also gaslighting.

Also grinning at the ref to that lovely passive-aggressive speciality of the G&T threads:

OP: DD can do x, y and z and is 4 months old - is she G&T?

Everyone else: Well, DS could do x, y and z AND a, b and c at 2 months old but your DD sounds a lovely, bright little girl - enjoy her!

Hi everyone, AIBU to buy knitted nose warmers?
I haven't left enough time to shear the sheep, card and spin the thread and knit them myself before Christmas.

Please gentle with me, it's my first time on MN.

There are always about 50 people who love to tell the op they must say vulva. As if it is this single piece of knowledge that shows their uber intelligence / how stupid the op is.

The armchair detectives who will go out of their way to accuse others of lying and chase them around all day every day. They are very sad.

The other one is where they try to change what you have typed.

A writes, "the black cat meowed loudly."

B replies, "So what your saying is that you abused the black cat until in screeched for mercy"

Stick to whats written and stop making it up.

Bibbity - so glad you can be so flippant about people losing their mums. It's not so funny when it's you, trust me. Sometimes when people whinge about very petty things their mum has said/done, it is so irritating for those who don't have mums anymore. Of course, it's different when someone's mum is really treating them badly and we know that. But when it's a small thing they're moaning about, it's a bit Hmm.

You sound very callous and hard-hearted so I won't expect you to give much of a shit about those of us who've lost our mums. As you were.

Neighbour-from-hell/random old shouty git in the street/drunken berk......."Ooh, he/she must be mentally ill!"

As someone who has a "serious and enduring" MH diagnosis (in remission), and hates rows of any kind, this gives me the right arse.

What does this mean - all horrible shouty/violent/drunk people are mentally ill, therefore all mentally ill people are horrible/shouty etc etc and should be locked up? (There's some shouty behaviour going on outside my flat right now, which is why I'm still up. My betting is that they are pissed as farts.)

I have met some real bastards in my life. They have all been "sane". And in hospital the only power-mad, unpleasant and dangerous people I met were three of the nurses. (The rest were fine, btw.)

AIBU to have called the police?
I saw a group of teenagers hanging out beside the corner shop when I was with my dd (3) at 11 pm, they were laughing and looked dodgy.

This is my bugbear

"I love my children so much I couldn't bear to leave them with a total stranger. Those of you who choose to work are bitches with a heart of stone. Obviously, in this criticism I'm excluding those of you who have to work for financial reasons. I still think you should feel guilty for abandoning your children, but I won't judge you for it, you poor lass."
