A little boy (aged around 5) asked me once, on a train, in all seriousness: "Are you an angel?" :)

My first husband was rushed into hospital at 3am once with excruciating chest pains. He was in a right state, and I feared the worst, but the hospital were unable to find anything wrong with him. Eventually the pain subsided, so they sent him through to the ward for observation.

When they mentioned which ward I said, oh that's where 'T' is. This was a friend who'd been in hospital but was on the mend, and I'd visited him the day before. As we went to the ward we passed his side room which was empty, with a freshly made bed. On investigation, he'd died at 3am of heart failure.

I took my then 15month old ds to my nans house for her 80th birthday garden party. I stayed with her in the house that evening and the next morning left to drive the 200 odd miles back home as ds was not well, hot, under the weather and generally grumpy.

On the way past the large town cemetary i took a chance on my ds, as i hadn't visited my other gran's grave for about 6 years and knew i'd be unlikely to do it again from some time. When i got to the part of the graveyard i knew she was buried in it had grown considerably in those years and i didn't think i could find her headstone.

Next thing my ds charged up the little grass walkway away from me, and climbed onto this marble raised grave. He sat there babbling and chatting, full of energy and bright as a button.

It was my gran and grandads grave.

I paid my respects and tried to lift him off and he started screaming. I carried him a couple of hundred yards and put him down to get my car keys out.

He ran back to the same grave in the row of graves and did it again.....

Shock

I'm a writer and when I'm not working on my bread and butter type stuff, I write drama and comedy.

Last year I kept getting images of a certain stituation...which I assumed was the germ of an idea for a play...I worked and worked on it but couldn't get past the initial images which were pretty grim...a murder scene basically with some very specific details.

I put it to one side meaning to go back to it at a later date and a week or so later I saw that a body had been found in the city where I had set my "play" the body was lying in the same place that I "saw" and with the same clothes and had been there for years (as had my character). I had visited the city not long before I had my "idea" and gone very near to where the poor victim was later found.

The clothing was SO similar and unusual that I was and still am a bit disturbed. But there were no real details in my mind which I could say were a clue as to who had committed the murder.

Wow mumbling :O I might be paranoid, but I'd be worried that if I mentioned that to anyone they'd worry that I was the murderer!

i know when someone close to me is about to fall pregnant or is just pregnant and dont have a clue yet, one of my friends i hadnt seen for about 5 months i bumped into in town and went '' wow you look amazing the babys doing wonders for your health your glowing!!'' she said to me ''dont be daft woman im not pregnant!!'' turned up at my door a week later after a routine blood test at docs asking how i knew :) she now has a 4 and a half yr old DD.

i told my sister she was pregnant with my niece last year repeatedly and she refused to believe me finally done a clear blue digital in my house just to shut me up-she was 3 weeks gone Grin

lastly my best friend i knew she was PG within days of her concieving and told her so when she asked why i told her it was all down to tomato sauce

found out earlier this year my nan used to do it too and we have romany gypsy heritage going back about 4 generations which freaked me right out!!

I once had a strange experience whilst out of my face on drugs Blush

I predicted the whole day.
I was sitting down in a park and said "in 10 mins a man with a blue coat and a border collie will walk past" . A man of the exact same description walked past EXACTLY 10 mins later.

We were walking around an area unfamiliar to ourselves, i had never been there before, but i knew the names of roads, i knew what colour buildings were going to be before i saw them, i knew the number of houses without seeing them.

I saw a child run into the road around 5 mins before it actually happened.
A man pass by on a bike about 10 mins before a man on a bike appeared.

Freakiest day of my life.

When off my face in ICU after my operation I think I imagined a nurse telling me that my sister and I look alike.
I mentioned something when I was a little more with it and a nurse said that she had visited when I was still in recovery because she was worried about me.
I mentioned it yet again to another nurse who confirmed that a sister had visited.
Neither of my sisters visited. Confused

My eldest sister has a theory that I had a visit from our sister who was stillborn because of spina bifida. The reason for my operation was because of scoliosis and I also have a slight problem with my actual spinal cord and my eldest sister said that perhaps she was watching over me because of this.
Who knows eh...

Hearing a doctor say 'we're going to have to take the uterus out again' during a CS.

I hope they put it back in the right way around.

When I was younger my parents used to take us to country houses that had open gardens - thrilling for a 6 yr old!, we went to one that we had not visited before and I confused my family by knowing my way round the grounds and trying to find the lake with the small house next to it. The lady in the coffee shop told my parents that over 100 yrs ago what I had been looking for was exactly where I had been loking but had since been filled in. She found it so strange that she took us into the house and I could tell her what half of the rooms 'used' to be over 100 years ago before seeing into them. Always made me think I had a past life as had this dejavous feeling lots of times since in old places.

I am finding that with increasing frequency I dream about places before I visit them.

What happens when I am there is never the same as in the dream and it has never been any event of any significance.

So what's the point of that then?

When I was at school during the lunchtime break I was inside the building with a friend of mine. We both suddenly had a wierd feeling and ran outside to the playground to look up at the sky. Everyone else in the school seemed to have disappeared and it was deadly quiet. In the sky was the sun. Suddenly a second sun appeared at the other side of the sky, and then suddenly shot across the sky to the other side. It then disappeared. We then freaked and ran back inside.

I don't know if I'd call it a fairy but I did see something very odd once. I was hanging out washing on the line behind my old flat - dingy little yard that backed onto a dingy little alley, so not even remotely fairy-glen-like. I dropped a sock or something, and as I bobbed down quickly to pick it up, there next to the wall was a tiny little figure of a man, about a foot or so high, perfectly solid and dressed in bright red with a long grey beard. I straightened up, looked again and he'd gone. I saw him against a solid grey breezeblock wall and there was nothing red anywhere to be seen that I might have mistaken for him. It was very odd indeed - I only saw him for a second but he really did look totally solid and real and 'there'.

Not me but my dad. When he was in his 20's he was walking into the centre of our small town when he got a strong feeling he'd left something at home. He turned and walked back again. Just as he reached his front door a bomb went off at the police station in town. Had he not turned he would have been right at the station when the bomb went off. He never could say why he turned around

The August 1999 solar eclipse seen from the line of totality in Asia. Standing by a desert road in baking heat, surrounded by hundreds of people with huge telescopes on tripods, watching the sun go out... bloody strange.

I too am a lucid dreamer and the strangest lucid dream I had was when my bed head at home was positioned under my mirror. In the dream, I was sitting behind/inside the mirror watching myself sleeping.

That was strange.

Another strange thing was when we were little we stopped at the Gretna Green Granada services (huge car park). As my mum got out of the car, her ear ring fell out and although we all searched, she just couldn't find it.

The following year, we parked at the same services, went in for a meal and as we went to get into the car, I saw the earring (quite distinct barrel shape) near to a drain cover. We realised we had parked almost in the same car park space. But what were the odds of seeing that again???
