AIBU?

Why is everyone so mean on mumsnet?

New poster - been lurking for a few weeks. What I've noticed is that everyone is so mean. Parents/women/people come here for advice and they are torn to pieces or spelling critisied.

I feel that you all can be a little bit nicer to each other. People sometimes post to get a different opinion, but we can be nice about how we say things!

Anyway, thanks for listening - i bet someone will say something mean!

Maybe "eggcup, once a fortnight" could be the standard battlecry for the not-arsed?

Grin

Well it made sense to me, anyway, you bunch of meanies...

I just thought you were on the wrong thread by mistake. Which is always fun for bystanders.

Psammead · 06/06/2011 11:43

Well now I feel like a crazy women shouting random things in the street.

Sorry. I did comment on the thread before but her username has been bugging me.

That really ought to be the last word, Psammead, but I bet it won't be. Goosey must still be asleep under a rock.

psammead - you are talking about cactuses no?

The world is not mean! The world is bloody wonderful. Or it is until my head starts to notice I've stopped taking my ADs Hmm

You are probably watering them too much, OP. Eggcup, once a fortnight. That's plenty.

The normality of MN is one of the few things in life I can depend on. People swear, bitch and consume vast amounts of tea/wine while multi-tasking with having a life and keeping the universe together for themselves and their friends.

Plus, AIBU is better than telly of an evening :o

So, Brew anyone?

Pagwatch · 06/06/2011 11:26

It is mean but then I have been away.

I am back. It will be much nicer now.

I can't believe that I went away and there was a thread criticising mn. What are the chances?

probably because the world is mean. I mean it really is horrible when you stop and actually think about it. you just have to look for rare moments of happiness and laughter and cherish them, and you have to do the same on mumsnet i'm afraid.

It is most definitely not a copy of the Mail Shock

It's made of wood so it's organic I guess.

I think it is only on MN that someone can start a thread on the lines of 'AIBU to think adults should make their DCs share' and can get attacked in a quite abusive way!

I want mean I want bitchy if I want cunting fluff I'll go to fucking netmums.
All those that complain about being harshly treated, go over to netmums they will massage your ego and make you feel all nice fluffy and worthwhile
