I am far far too young to have a 15 year old. I can' bear it. My baby is all grown up and independent. I can't have a 15 year old as a daughter, I just can't. she's not small and squishy and soft any more, she's all tall(ish) and skinny and twiggy and won't snuggle me.

and did i mention i am far far far too youthful and young to have a 15 year old?

So would it be terribly unreasonable to just cane her birthday tomorrow and keep her as she is?

DS1 will be 30 in less than 2 months. Which is fairly amazing since I'm still only 28. In my dreams, that is.

My GRANDchildren are 13,16 and 20 and I'm too young to be a MOTHER!

Haha, you remind me of my Mum when my little sister went to university a few Septembers ago! Saying that, my parents still haven't got used to the idea that none of us live at home full time anymore!

My boy is 14 1/2 and he is 6 ft tall and bends over to kiss me on the head!! He pats me on the shoulder when I'm upset.

He goes to work and is planning college.

He should be running round in little shorts and giggling like when he was 4. Where has the last 10 years gone?!!!

Don't worry, she will snuggle you again when she's a bit older. Only thing is, it will only be at 2am when her boyfriend has been a nob and she needs to talk....

It is lovely having a grown-up daughter, well worth the wait.

You sound like my 6 yr old! I threatened the same yesterday after a dose of very bad behaviour 'Mummy if you cancel my party will I stay 6 forever?'!

I think they still grow up even if you do cancel Grin

Awww- but 15yos are lovely! (At least I think they are: dd still has a few months to go.)

They're fun, you can share all sorts of things with them, and they educate you about things you never knew. And you don't have to wipe their snot!

Happy birthday to your dd for tomorrow! Smile
