GRRR, GUESTS TURNING UP LATE

I kind of know I am being unreasonable but me and DP are doing dinner tonight for some of his colleagues.

I got a call about an hour ago from DP saying that he was staying later and was going to help one of the colleagues who is coming tonight finish off his work as he is on holiday next week. DP would then come back here with them, an hour earlier than planned.

I said it's your choice but I am not happy about it as stuff needs to be done for tonight, and now I will have to do it all. Like soem fucking 1950s housewife. Though, tbh I had today off as I was working last weekend.

Now, I just got a call saying DP is coming home but the others are going to be an hour late. Just after I rushed to get EVERYTHING done before they all turn up.

AIBU to be GRRR?

Ah, now you've decided to drink the Kir Royales without them, YADNBU Smile Wine

YANBU.

I have a real thing about people being on time or coming when they say they will. The fact that you had to rush because they were coming early and now they are going to be late would really hack me off too.

Try not to let it spoil your evening but I do know where you are coming from and I hate plans changed at the last minute.

Everything is pre-done. However, I have a boeuf borguinnon on the hob and it was supposed to be ready to eat 8/8.30. Do you think it will wait till 9?

I got some cava for Kir Royals, they may find that finished by the time they get here!

YANBU but I concur with the above ? hope you manage to have a nice night. I might defriend them though if they don't a) turn up with some very nice bottles of wine/chocolate/etc and b) at least do the washing up.

Hahaha, YANBU, but calm down or you'll have a rubbish evening. What's for tea? Anything nice?
