DD1s Yr 10 Parents evening today.

DH has NEVER done one.

I'm working so have informed him he'll have to go to which he was Shock and Confused and wailed that he didn't know what to do Hmm

Now DD1 is a girly swot and no trouble whatsoever so I haven't Even any questions for her teachers and imagine they'll just say 'yes, she's fine, carry on'.

sO aibu GETTING dh TO DO IT? sHE HAS 2 PARENTS AFTER ALL.

I think he imagines himself having to strip naked and recite Beowulf word perfect or something.

We always go together if we can....usually so we can present a 'united front'.

Presumably your daughter has been to one before so she can guide him. As you say there are no issues with her work or behaviour so it should be fine.

YANBU. He's her parent too, tell him to get his arse there! Good grief.
'Not know what to do?' What does he think he'll have to do?! :-) Tell him as long as he's got a pair of ears to listen with he'll be fine!

DD has never attended one of DD's conferences. He is a teacher at her school so sees her teacher every day.
I do think your DH is being ultra U, your DD has two parents after all.
As far as not knowing what to do, what does he expect to have to do?

he does other stuff (like cooking, cleaning, house stuff which i am shite at). i've never minded doing the children stuf but it was his Shock reaction which irritated me. just suppose he wasn't expecting to have to and doesn't know what to do. or something.
